Through Givebacks, you'll be able to:
Make donations to your child's school
Pay all school fines

We're looking forward to making it easier than ever for families to stay connected and support our school. If your student has acquired a fine, you will receive an email from Givebacks with a link to pay that fine through this system. Thank you for being an important part of our community.

Important Parent Information Important Parent Information

Attendance Procedures for 2026-2027 School Year

Fayetteville High School has updated its attendance procedures for the 2026–2027 school year. We encourage all students and parents to review these changes carefully, as they include important information regarding excused absences, attendance interventions, and the impact of unexcused absences on course credit and student privileges to include denial of credit. Please take a few minutes to review the updated attendance information HERE.

Student Drop Off/Pick Up

Students may be dropped off and picked up on Bulldog Boulevard, located on the north side of the school building. Students will be unable to enter the school building until 8:10 am each morning, unless a student is attending a required event. Review the traffic flow map below.

Student Cell Phone & Yondr Pouches

In accordance with the "Bell to Bell, No Cell" law, FHS restricts the use of personal electronic devices (cell phones, personal laptops, and smart devices) during the school day. All students will utilize a Yondr pouch to store their devices from the time they arrive until dismissal. If a parent needs to reach a student during the day, they may do so via the student’s school-issued email. Students are expected to place their cellphones in the Yondr pouch from 8:10 a.m. - 4:05 p.m., while on school grounds.

STUDENT ID CARDS

Student ID cards are REQUIRED to be worn by all FHS students during the school day. Student IDs are used for the safety of the students and staff in our high school. All students will need to collect their ID for the 2026-2027 School Year - all previous badges are now inactive. All students will scan their student ID as they walk through the metal detectors each day. The student ID card will also be used by bus riders to scan on and off of the FPS buses. All students will be distributed an ID card during Bulldog Blitz. If you are unable to attend Bulldog Blitz, your student ID can be picked up during the first week of school. Lost or stolen student IDs must be reported to the Office and replaced.

Weapons Detection System

The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. As we begin our second year using the Weapons Detection System (WDS), we appreciate the cooperation of our students and families in helping the process run smoothly.

The WDS remains an important part of our comprehensive school safety plan. Students will continue to enter through designated screening entrances each morning. To help expedite the process, students should carry their school-issued Chromebook separately and avoid bringing unnecessary metal items that may trigger additional screening.

What Parents and Students Should Know:

  • The process will be conducted with respect for student privacy and dignity.

  • Trained staff will be present to support a smooth and respectful screening process.

  • Students will be taught expectations when school begins.

  • The use of metal detectors is not in response to any specific threat, but rather part of a broader effort to strengthen school safety.

Bus Transportation

If your child signed up to ride the bus, you will receive correspondence from the Transportation Department. If you have not previously signed your child up for transportation, contact FHS at 479.444.3050. It will take up to two weeks from the time you enroll in transportation for you to receive an assignment.

Students riding buses to and from Fayetteville High School will be dropped off and picked up in the bus loading zone, located in front of the school campus. Students will need their student ID card to enter and exit the bus.

Check-Out Procedure

Students may leave campus only after checking out through one of the administrative offices. These offices will confirm parental permission for the student to leave. Students who fail to check out of school correctly are considered absent even if they have their parent’s permission because school personnel are responsible for students during the school day. PLEASE NOTE: No phone calls into classrooms will be made after 3:45 pm to check out students due to the disruption it causes to the educational environment. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must call the school in advance to check out their child from school.

Student Parking

Eligible students who have picked up their parking pass during Bulldog Blitz or by contacting Byron Zeagler (Byron.Zeagler@fayar.net) are able to park in their assigned parking lots. Students will be assigned a designated parking spot. Students are only to park in their assigned spot. Students who fail to park in their assigned parking spot are subject to parking enforcement.

Parking Enforcement

Any citation received must be paid within 10 business days. Failure to pay this fine within 10 business days WILL result in parking privileges being revoked. Cars that are parked illegally on campus may also be towed at the owner’s expense. Review the consequences below:

Grades and Attendance - Home Access Center(HAC)

Parents are able to access up to date information concerning grades and attendance. This information is accessed through the Grade Viewer(HAC). Be sure to change the District Name box to Fayetteville Public Schools. If you need assistance with your username and password, be sure to click the "Forgot my Username or Password" option.

Excused Absences

“Excused” absences occur when (a) the student is on official school business, or (b) the student’s absence is due to one of the documented reasons listed in school policy 5.07 and the student’s parent or guardian reports an acceptable reason for the absence. A parent or guardian’s report of an excused absence must be provided to the school within five (5) school days after the student absence occurs.

NOTE: A maximum of five (5) days for health reasons are allowed per semester unless the condition causing such absences is of a chronic or recurring nature, is medically documented.

Student Dress Code

This dress code is established to comply with Arkansas law, prevent disruptions, minimize safety hazards, and help establish a positive school culture. While this dress code applies to all students in the district, please note that some distinctions are made between age groups. FPS dress code can be reviewed HERE.

What's for breakfast and lunch?

Fayetteville Public Schools offers tasty and nutritious breakfast and lunch options. All information concerning these meals can be found on the FPS Child Nutrition Page. Students are also welcome to bring their lunch from home. All meals will be eaten in our cafeteria.

Join FHS Parent, Teacher, Student Organization

Please join us as part of the FHS Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO). We are a volunteer group that works with parents, staff, our community and students to promote education and create a positive connected community. In order to be effective, we need the support and involvement of the parents and guardians of our students. The best way to show your support is to become a member! Your membership provides funding for programs that would not otherwise be available. In addition to joining PTSO, please consider donating to our special programs, such as Student Outreach (for students in need), Faculty Hospitality (to keep our staff fed and support special events), or Faculty Grants (for funding of worthwhile projects and materials to enhance FHS educational programs). Information on joining FHS PTSO can be found HERE.
