Random Act of Kindness Challenge!
October is Bullying Prevention Month, and our Student Support Specialists are excited to introduce the Random Act of Kindness Challenge! This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage acts of kindness throughout our school and to strengthen our sense of community. Their goal is to help make our Viking CommUNITY shine brighter with thoughtful and caring actions, showing students what it truly means to be a Viking.
Here’s how it works:
- Staff will recognize students as they demonstrate acts of kindness throughout the school.
- The student will be presented with a raffle ticket
- Students will write their names on the raffle ticket and turn it in to the box located by the switchboard for a chance to win prizes.
- The challenge will run from 10/7 through 10/31.
Please check out this slide show designed by the Student Support Specialists with more information!

Mighty, Brave & Bold Student Nominated Awards!
Students! Please continue to nominate your peers for a Mighty, Brave and Bold award. Please be specific in your nominations about what you witnessed or how your peers are upholding these core Viking Values!
- BE MIGHTY: Vikings who overcome obstacles or empower their peers to do the same.
- BE BRAVE: Vikings who do what is right, or help others to do what is right, even though it might be hard.
- BE BOLD: Vikings who take risks and go outside their comfort zones or help others do the same.
By honoring these role models, we aim to promote a school culture of respect, courage, and excellence, as we hope to help all students feel seen, supported, celebrated and valued. Please encourage students to submit nominations for their peers when they see someone being MIGHTY, BRAVE or BOLD.
If you have any questions, please email Mr. Ferrell in the Intervention Office.
