A quick note from the principal's desk...

Good Afternoon RPI Families,

It is hard to believe that we have just completed our first marking period...9 WEEKS! The only reason we have and continue to be in person is because of our combined efforts to wear our masks, wash our hands, be cautious when we know we are sick, maintain distancing, etc.

THANK YOU to our students, teachers and families. I am so proud!

In light of the high school going virtual last week, we have begun to solidify our plans in case this happens to us. Your teachers will be the main source of information as it relates to anything within the classroom. Make sure you are connected to or have bookmarked either their Google Site or Google Classroom. I will continue to provide (again, if/when we go virtual) a weekly update. Our goal is to NOT MISS A BEAT and keep the learning rolling! In case you are curious what a "general" structure of a virtual day might look like, CLICK HERE. This has been posted on our districts page since August.

Also, by now you should have received communication from your teacher(s) related to conferences. If you haven't, please reach out to them.

Let's not let our foot off the gas...stay diligent with masks, handwashing, distancing and being cautious outside of school and we can stay in person!!

Have a great week everybody! Go Rockets!

Yours in Rocket Pride,

Scott Panozzo, Principal

The P2 Post

This weeks character strength is: BRAVERY!

No, this doesn't mean you have to be superman, wonder woman or even serve in the armed forces. It means that you act with mental, moral or physical strength even when you now things are difficult or scary.

How can our kids be brave? Talk with them about this concept: When you make choices or decision, you represent your parents, your family and your school community. Will your decisions make your parents, family or school community proud?

Simple. Effective.

I hope you take some time to use the Family Resources this week. Information below:

Future Focused - Virtual Career & College Exploration Series

This series is designed to help students explore and prepare for their future career goals. Our mantra is simple:

“Every student has a career IN them. It is our job to find it WITH them”

The series is created to provide 6-12 grade students a virtual opportunity to be a part of a conversation connecting them to an industry professional, college planning information or career preparation programming. Each conversation will be about 30 minutes and will provide students the opportunity to gain valuable information about a variety of career paths, to explore career preparation options and to learn how to plan for college and their next steps.

Students will have an opportunity to ask their own questions through the Zoom platform’s chat function.

This could not only be a great opportunity for students to engage with employers to hear directly about their future career interests but could be an opportunity for teachers to include in their virtual or hybrid planning. However, conversations will be recorded using “Speaker View” through ZOOM and available on a designated Youtube channel for later viewing.

Registration is now open for the first session! Here is the link: Future FocusSeries
