WE RETURN TO SCHOOL TOMORROW! HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING BREAK!
NMS MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR HUNGRY FAMILIES
Thank you to our Sources of Strength students and our school counselors for organizing a food drive to benefit local families who are struggling with food insecurity. This food will go a long way to helping our community!
BUMPS, SETS, & SPIKES AGAINST CANCER
On Friday, November 21st, North Middle hosted a spirited, school-wide volleyball tournament to support Relay for Life and the fight against cancer. Students were invited to form teams for a $20 entry fee and spent the morning competing in friendly but fierce matches. Spectators also contributed by purchasing tickets to watch the games, while concession sales added even more to the fundraising effort.
The excitement continued into the afternoon when the student champions took on the staff in an epic “bump, set, spike” showdown that had the whole gym cheering.
A huge thank-you goes out to everyone who played, watched, volunteered, or helped with concessions. Your support made this event a fun and meaningful way to raise money for an important cause!

iPAD CHECKS TOMORROW & TUESDAY IN TEAMS
STUDENTS - In preparation for iReady diagnostic tests next week, we are completing an iPad check starting TOMORROW! Go ahead and charge those iPads NOW! Make sure your iPad is updated (go to settings - general - software update). It should at least be on iOS 18.7.1 or above! Show your TEAMS teacher on Monday or Tuesday. Let your TEAMS teacher know if you need any assistance with your iPad and they will put in a work order. It's MOST IMPORTANT that you can get on iReady so try logging in to that as well!
DIAGNOSTIC TESTING IS COMING NEXT WEEK
Next week, students at North Middle will participate in the middle-of-the-year iReady diagnostic assessments in both ELA and Math. These important tests help measure how much progress students have made toward their learning goals so far this year and serve as strong predictors for success on the end-of-year state assessments.
In preparation, students should be completing the iPad check in their TEAMS class this week to ensure their devices are fully functional and ready for testing. A working device is essential for a smooth testing experience. Additionally, a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast—either at home or at school—can make a significant difference in a student’s focus and stamina.
The results from these diagnostics provide teachers with valuable data that guide instructional decisions, allowing them to better understand where students may be struggling and how to support their individual needs.
Please encourage your child to take their time and give their best effort on these assessments. Accurate results help us provide the most effective instruction and ensure each student continues to grow and succeed.
