Interested in Coming to Lunch with Your Child?
Mrs. Rainsberry will grant approvals for any visitations. We do have a form that will need to be signed when coming. Mrs. Rainsberry will walk the visitor through the expectations during the phone meeting.
Visitors are allowed 2 times per semester. There may be reasons to decline a visit due to events happening, full lunch runs- limited space, and other visitors scheduled during that time.
NDSU Women's Basketball Game
Our Grade 3–5 students will have the exciting opportunity to attend the annual NDSU Women’s Basketball Field Trip Game on December 3, 2026, as the Bison take on Concordia-Moorhead. This fun and educational experience will allow students to cheer on the Bison while learning about math, physical health, and fitness through activities connected to the game. Admission is free, and students may bring a sack lunch or PTA has agreed to purchase a box lunch at the game for kids. It is a special hot dog, chips, and drink combo. The game is expected to last approximately two hours. We look forward to this exciting opportunity for our students to experience Bison basketball!

Counselor Corner
In November, classroom lessons are transitioning from study skills to social/ emotional skills.
In kindergarten, students will identify various feelings, and how they can recognize these feelings in others.
In first grade, students will identify various feelings by observing physical cues (such as facial expressions).
In second grade students will be able to label their own feelings and use various clues to determine what others are feeling.
In third grade, students will move into empathy skills by learning to look for physical, verbal, and situational clues that will help in identifying others’ feelings and perspectives.
In fourth grade, Students will start our empathy unit by understanding that others have different perspectives than they do, and how it is important to be respectful of other peoples’ preferences.
In fifth grade, students will identify how they can show respect to other peoples’ preferences by using empathy.

Tardy Procedure
The following is the late/tardy procedure that is followed at CBH. This is a school-wide plan that will take place in each classroom. Our goal is to have all students ready to learn when the day starts.
Thank you for your help in reaching our goal.
- Students will be in the classroom once the second bell rings.
- They will be prepared and ready for their day.
- Any students who walk into the classroom after the second bell will be marked tardy by the classroom teacher.
- Once lunch count is submitted, any students who enter the classroom need to report to the office for a tardy slip.
- Once having entered the classroom, students must have teacher permission to leave the classroom for any reason.
Inclement Weather
The season of winter storms is upon us. We want you to know that we are committed to keeping our school children safe. When storm conditions develop we must make a decision to hold school or not. This decision is based on weather conditions that exist for the majority of Fargo students. If school is in session and it is your decision that your child should remain at home, that decision will be respected by the school.
If school is called off local radio and television stations will be notified as early as possible. School closing notices will also be posted on the internet via the weather section of In-Forum. If storm conditions develop during the day and it is determined that an early dismissal is in the best interest of the students, the media will be notified and principals will proceed with an orderly dismissal of school. Elementary principals will dismiss students consistent with instructions provided on the emergency/weather school closing form that parents completed during the online registration.
We appreciate your continued cooperation and understanding in this important matter. Be assured that the well-being of your children is of the utmost importance to us.
*We go outside until the weather gets below
-10 degrees. Please make sure your child has snow pants, boots, gloves, etc.
