Lady Knights Qualify for Nebraska State Basketball Tournament
Congratulations to the Oakland-Craig Lady Knight basketball team on qualifying for the state tournament! We will play at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at the Devaney Center. School will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. Elementary will eat lunch at school and Jr.-Sr. High students will be offered a lunch to take with them. There will be no afternoon preschool. We will also offer a 7th-12th grade student bus to the game in Lincoln as long as we have enough interest. We will have a pep rally on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with a send-off at 10:45 a.m. More information will be shared as we begin the school week.
2026-2027 Calendar
The Board of Education has approved the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note this is subject to change but is a good tool to utilize for planning as changes very likely would not be major.
Inclement Weather
Winter is here and with that we likely will see some inclement weather. All weather delays and closures will be announced via our OneCall system, local news stations (KTIC, The Bull, etc.), and our school social media pages. If you are not on the OneCall system and you would like to be, please contact the school office. Community members are welcome to receive calls as well!
End of 3rd Quarter
We are quickly approaching the end of the 3rd quarter. I'd encourage you to check your child's grades in PowerSchool and assure everything is up to date before 3rd quarter report cards are printed on March 5, 2026.

School Wellness Triennial Assessment
Oakland-Craig completed the School Wellness Triennial Assessment. Click on the link below to learn more.
Special Education Survey
If you have a child receiving special education services, we are requesting your participation in a brief survey required by the Nebraska Department of Education. Please complete this survey at your earliest convenience. It will be open until April but we would greatly appreciate you completing it sooner rather than later. Thank you for your time as well as your feedback.
Student Accident Insurance
As the winter activity season approaches, we want to remind you that you have the opportunity to purchase additional coverage. Student accident insurance provides financial assistance with your out-of-pocket medical expenses when
your student sustains an accidental bodily injury. Use the link to learn more:
Social Emotional Learning
Oakland-Craig offers a great deal of social emotional supports for our students. All students have a weekly guidance lesson with elementary using the Second Step curriculum and the Jr-Sr. High using the Social Institute curriculum. We also offer a mental health club for Jr-Sr. High students. In addition, we do offer the opportunity to participate in individual counseling services for a small number of students each year.
Staff Appreciation Opportunity
If you are looking to show some appreciation to an OC staff member, consider purchasing a beverage from Dillstrom's Fika Kafe. They have a list of staff favorites and deliver to school every Tuesday and Thursday.
