Prayer for LifeLink Day
God of mercy and compassion,
We praise you for your goodness.
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Lord, You call us to be a people of charity,
A community of love.
Open our hearts to those in need,
Give us the courage to reach out to the vulnerable,
And the grace to see Your face in the poor.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Friends,
With only three weeks left of the school term there is still much to do. However, we have already achieved so much.
We have been lucky with the weather for all of our sporting events so far. Fingers crossed Interschool Cross Country will also be the same.
Your childβs teachers are currently finalising their report comments. Parents if you have any concerns, please contact the teacher who gave the grade, particularly if it was a specialist teacher. Remember to link up to SEQTA Engage because no paper copies will be sent home.
Don't forget the upcoming Cake Stall organised by the Parents and Friends Association. Funds raised go directly for the benefit of our students.
Next week Thursday Mrs Barfoot and I will be sleeping outside in a cardboard box with just a sleeping bag with other leaders from various walks of life. By doing this we hope to raise awareness to homelessness in particular targeted outreach to young people who are disconnected from education, employment, or safe housing. It helps break cycles of homelessness by offering practical support, building life skills, and linking participants to opportunities that foster long-term stability. Mrs Barfoot and I sincerely thank all families for their contributions of Milo, milk and monetary donations. We thank the staff and students who assisted in the morning and all the children who participated by purchasing Hot Chocolate every Thursday. A reminder next week is our last week. With your help we hope to have raised $700. If you would like to donate, please see the QR codes below.
Finally, I urge you to read on as there is important information about our School Canteen commencing next term.
Have a lovely weekend.
Kind regards
Rika

Farewell to Our School Canteen
After many years of dedicated service to our school community, our school canteen will cease operations at the end of this term.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our wonderful canteen staff, Jeanetta Merlo and Diane Fairman, whose commitment, care and hard work have supported our students, families and staff more than 10 years. Beyond preparing lunches and treats, they have helped create a welcoming and friendly space within our school and have been an important part of daily school life. We thank them for the countless hours they have devoted to serving our community and wish them every blessing for the future.
While we are saddened to see the canteen close, we are pleased to announce an alternative lunch ordering service for families. Commencing next term, families will be able to order lunches online through Lunch Box Hub. This service provides a range of fresh lunch options that will be delivered directly to the school for students. There will be no recess ordering.
We thank our community for its understanding and support during this transition and look forward to continuing to provide a convenient lunch option for our students through this new arrangement.
LunchBox Hub online ordering will commence 20 July, first day back. You can order five days a week. Please see below and click on the link for instructions on how to sign up and place your orders.
SCHOOL PHOTO DAY IS COMING
Dear Parents,
Your school photo day is coming! Every student will receive a personalised flyer to bring home from Kapture Photography containing your childβs unique codes for ordering school photos online.
KEEP YOUR FLYER SECURE!
The unique codes contained on the flyer will be issued only once.
Order EARLY for sibling photography
Sibling photos can ONLY be ordered online. Once you receive the personalised flyers for your children, it is imperative that you order your sibling photo early to avoid missing out! There is a physical limit in the school schedule to how many sibling photos can be taken. Once the maximum capacity of sibling orders has been reached, no more sibling orders can be placed.
If maximum capacity is not reached, sibling orders close 12pm midday sharp, one business day prior to the first photo day.
The school or the photographers cannot accept late orders for sibling photography. Please do not ask as your request simply cannot be accommodated.
Order EARLY for discount photo day prices
Order your photos up to 10 calendar days after photo day to receive discount photo day prices. Late orders are handled separately to the school delivery and incur a $30 custom service charge.
Other information
Kapture offer a money back guarantee for any parent who is not fully satisfied with their photo package. Should you have any queries before or after photo day, please check the FAQβs on the Kapture website.
We request that students who are displaying signs of respiratory and / or gastrointestinal illnesses do not attend school specifically to be included in their class photo. Having students with communicable illnesses attend the photography venues puts other students, school staff and Kapture staff at risk β especially those that are already immunocompromised. Students who are unable to attend school photo day can book a studio appointment at our Malaga office to be photographed during school holidays. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Your school will notify you in a few weeks when team and special group photos are available to view and purchase on the Kapture website. Please note; class, individual and sibling portraits are not available to view online prior to purchase.
All students will be photographed individually on photo day for school administration records AS WELL as included in their class group presentation available for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason why your child should NOT be included in the photo shoot βplease contact the school office.
