Spelling → Weekly UFLI Assessment
This year, we will have a quick check for understanding that we are calling our Weekly UFLI Assessment.
It is an assessment that we will be using to assess their understanding of the concept that has been taught that week. These will be averaged every few weeks for a grade and will be used to help us guide our instruction.
The parent guide is linked here and can also be downloaded (below) to show you how you can assist with these practices. You may also view the Parent UFLI Homework Presentation that Includes a Video
- UFLI Assessments will be every Friday.
- There will be no assessment on 4-day weeks, though students will be expected to know patterns & irregular words for future assessments.
- A weekly home practice guide for our weekly assessment is shown below.

Dragon Pride
Help your child achieve Dragon Pride Reading and Service this year. We encourage students to read at least 20 minute every night to help reading growth. Students may turn reading logs in once 850 minutes have been reported and tallied to be a Dragon Pride reader. You can print a new log here or get a new one from your classroom teacher once it is full. Please have your student use the template below to turn in their Dragon Pride Service. Their photo can go on the left and their description can be written by them on the right side. Please let your teacher know if you need a paper copy of this.
