End of the Year
The school year is coming to an end and summer is quickly approaching. Our department connected with so many students through classes, small groups, and individual sessions. We will miss our students in 8th grade as they transition to the high school next year and are wishing them all the best as they start 9th grade. We hope that students and families will be able to relax and enjoy the summer break!
Most of our department will be out of our offices for the majority of the summer. Mrs. Pitzen, School Counseling Secretary, will be able to assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have. Also, our school counselors do periodically check their emails throughout the summer. As a reminder, they loop with their students which means next school year Mr. Campbell will be the 6th grade counselor, Mrs. Seifert will be the 7th grade counselor, and Mrs. Dusek will be the 8th grade counselor.
Celebrating and Showing our Character
Our end of the year Character Activities were huge success this month!
Students in sixth grade celebrated the finale of their Everest Projects by competing in individual and team competitions! It was a fun day for students to demonstrate a variety of skills! Students in seventh grade complete service learning projects around our community. Students in eighth grade attended a career fair in Eau Claire.
Summer Activities & Camps for Middle School Students
The MMS Counseling Department put together a list of summer activities available for Middle School students in our community. Please note that this list is provided for informational purposes only. Our school is not affiliated with, nor do we specifically endorse the programs included. We simply want to share opportunities that we are aware of so families can keep their kids busy this summer! If you have questions about any of the programs, reach out to the organizations directly. Many of the activities and camps have scholarships available if there is a financial need.
