School Begins on Wednesday (K-6)!

Dear ECS Families and Caregivers,

We are so excited to see everyone in just a few short days! Teachers and support staff have been working hard to prepare lessons and the building for another great year of learning and fun!

School begins on Wednesday, August 26, for all K-6 students, with our preschoolers beginning on Monday, August 31. Drop-off begins at 7:30 AM and bus routes are available in the Infinite Campus Portal (see directions below.) Bus routes are not posted publicly to maintain the safety of students.

Please consider attending the first of our monthly whole-school community meetings on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 26, at 9:00 AM, when we will unveil our new Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) token, voted on by students last spring! We will also be reviewing our newly revised schoolwide Community Agreements to be Respectful, Responsible and Safe.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone very soon! It's going to be a fantastic year together!

Enjoy that last few days of summer!

Kindly,

Chris Dodge

Principal

Remember those PE Shoes!

Dear Families and Caregivers,

As we begin a new school year, I wanted to share a quick reminder about PE footwear and that PE will be on Mondays and Tuesdays again this year!

For safety and full participation, students should come to PE with athletic shoes appropriate for running, jumping, directional changes, and other physical activities. Crocs, slides, sandals, boots, slippers, and other non-athletic footwear aren't suitable for the running, jumping, cutting, and other active movements we do in PE.

We understand that students occasionally forget their PE shoes. No problem! We have a PE shoe station with athletic shoes available for students to borrow when needed. Our goal is to make this a simple solution rather than a source of stress for students.

If your child regularly participates in PE, having a dedicated pair of sneakers that stays in their backpack or at school can be an easy way to make sure they're always prepared.

Thank you for helping us keep PE safe, active, and enjoyable for everyone.

Respectfully,

Lee Ruark

PE Teacher

Open House is October 1!

Open House is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please mark your calendars! Open House is a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers, see the classroom, and visit the many learning locations that your child uses throughout the school, such as the gym, library, art and music rooms, as well as meet the many non-classroom adults that support your child throughout the week. We look forward to seeing you on the evening of October 1.

Bus Routes Available Now!

Lamoille North families can now access their student’s 2026–2027 bus route information through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

To help protect student information, bus routes are no longer posted publicly and are instead available securely through Infinite Campus.

Before viewing your bus route, you must complete the 2026–2027 Annual Update. If you’ve already completed it, you’re all set!

The Annual Update takes less than five minutes and allows families and caregivers to verify important information, including emergency contacts, health information, permissions, and other student records.

To access your student’s bus route:

  • Log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
  • Complete the 2026–2027 Annual Update if prompted.
  • Once complete, look for the bus route link under the Announcements tab.

Need help accessing Infinite Campus or completing the Annual Update? Contact lnsdregistrar@lnsd.org.

Thank you for helping us keep your family’s information accurate and up to date as we prepare for another great school year at Lamoille North!

From the Agency of Education: Special Education Parent Survey

Are you a parent of a student who received special education services between July 1, 2025 to December 1, 2025? If so, please complete this Special Education Parent Involvement Survey. Your feedback helps to improve special education services and student outcomes in your supervisory union or district and is completely anonymous.

If you have not yet completed this survey, please submit your response by September 15, 2026.

If you need your unique survey identification code call: (802) 828-1256.

For additional information about this survey visit: VT AOE Special Education Parent Survey.

Broader outreach will help us reach more eligible families, increase response rates, and strengthen the validity of data used for state and federal reporting and continuous improvement of special education services. The survey is open for parents to complete until September 15, 2026. Thank you for helping us ensure families across Vermont have an opportunity to share their experiences with special education services.
