Principals Message

Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Community:

We look forward to seeing everyone at fall conferences next week Thursday, October 10th-Friday, October 11th! The purpose of the conference is to provide a dedicated time for family engagement and communication and for teachers to collaboratively work with parents and students to identify goals, update goal progress, and determine next steps for learning goals.

Schools that are successful in increasing student learning have staff that provides parents and students with frequent and ongoing communication regarding academic and social emotional learning goals. Research and practice show us that a process that engages parents and students in setting/monitoring/updating learning goals increases student learning. Thank you for your partnership!

Conference Guidelines:

  • Conferences are about 20 minutes each

  • In-person conferences are the recommended method

    • If a family needs a virtual option we will provide one. After signing up, parent(s) should email the teacher to share that a virtual conference is requested.

    • A phone conference can also be used

  • Goal is for 100% of parents/guardians to be present for conference

Book Fair Wednesday, October 9th-Friday, October 11th!

The book fair is on! We are hoping to have our Scholastic Book Fair set up the morning of Wednesday, October 9th and open for shop shortly after. The book fair will be open during fall conferences. Please stop by the book fair before or after your conference.
