Dear Families,
We have just completed our first trimester for the 2022-23 school year. Progress reports were either mailed or emailed on November 21 to our families. If you didn't receive progress report or have questions about your child's progress, please contact your child's teacher.
Our next couple of weeks are busy with our Corbett PTA Book Fair, Winter Music Performances, and lots of opportunities to donate food and other items to support members of our community. Our Corbett PTA Book Fair is a great opportunity to purchase books for the holidays and to also support our classroom libraries. In addition, we will be selling Corbett Grade School t-shirts at the book fair.
We are also excited for our upcoming Winter Music Performances. Our musicians in K-3 will be performing Tuesday, December 12 at 6pm in the grade school gym. The following evening, Wednesday, December 13, our musicians (band, strings, and choir) will be performing at 7pm in the high school gym.
During the month of December, we are also collecting canned food and other supplies to support our local families that this holiday season. If you or a family you know could use some extra support this holiday season, please reach out to Melissa Davis at mdavis@corbett.k12.or.us.

Our new playground equipment has arrived and is ready to be installed. We are looking for a person or group that would be willing to be in charge of the installation of our swings, slide, and climbing trees. If you are not confident in leading this effort, we will also need volunteers that would be able help with the installation.
The dates and times for installation will be directed by the person in charge of installation and our winter weather! We often get some calm, partly cloudy days that would allow for installation during January and February. If you are willing to lead our installation or would like to volunteer to help with installation, please send Michelle Dawkins an email at mdawkins@corbett.k12.or.us on or before December 15, 2023.
Once the new equipment has been installed, our next stage will be to replace our pea gravel with either rubber mulch or cedar mulch in the spring!
When we experience inclement weather in Corbett, it can often make getting to school safely a challenge. During this time, we may have a school closure or a two-hour delayed start. You will be notified by email and text message. Announcements of closures or delays can also be found on our scool district website and local news media. You can also subscribe to FlashAlert for additional communication about emergency messages and important weather closure information in our area.
Managing Anxiety
Suicide Prevention will be the topic for December 7, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, with our counseling team. It is also located at the Student-Based Mental Health Center and childcare will be available.
