Weekly Family Communication
Principal's Message
Dear Holy Rosary Families,
We wrapped up a wonderful Catholic Schools Week and are excited to cheer on the Seahawks this weekend! Tomorrow is our Archdiocesan inservice day, an opportunity for our teachers to gather with others throughout the Archdiocese for professional development.
This Sunday our parish and school will send forth 40 candidates to be confirmed by Archbishop Etienne at the 11:00 Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Please pray the Holy Spirit will be with them as they receive this important Sacrament. Lent is just around the corner, with Ash Wednesday on February 18th. It's never too early to start thinking about how to make this Lent the most prayerful one yet!
In Christ,
Anna
Faith At Home
Here are a few simple and realistic ways to live your Catholic faith at home this week — the kind that fits into normal family life.
🧹 1. Offer up one chore
When doing dishes, laundry, or cleaning, say:
“I offer this up for ____.”
This turns ordinary work into prayer — very Catholic spirituality.
🍞 2. Talk about where your food came from
At one meal, mention:
The farmers
The workers
God’s creation
Connect gratitude to real people and God’s provision.
💌 3. Write a note to someone who needs encouragement
A teacher, priest, grandparent, friend, neighbor.
Catholic living is outward-facing love.
🌙 4. End one night with an Examination of Conscience (kid-friendly)
Ask:
Did I love well today?
Did I hurt anyone?
What can I do better tomorrow?
No guilt. Just growth.
⭐ The goal this week
More awareness of God in ordinary life.
That’s Catholic living at its best — faith woven into the fabric of home.
