MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

CHS COMMUNITY,

2026 POST GRADUATION SURVEY

Through our 4E's framework, we strive to ensure all students are fully prepared to enter one of four pathways upon graduation:

  • Enrollment in further education

  • Employment

  • Enlistment in the military

  • Entrepreneurship

In accordance with Ohio Revised Code (ORC 3302.03) and in compliance with the Ohio Department of Education, our district is currently collecting data regarding post-secondary activities from our recent graduates.

We encourage CHS families to share our SURVEY with their child who graduated from Chardon High School, Class of 2026.

If you have any questions regarding this survey or need additional information, please contact Dr. Klein directly at ed.klein@chardonschools.org.

SENIORS - COLLEGE INFORMAITION SENIORS - COLLEGE INFORMAITION

COLLEGE APPLICATIONS

If you (your child) plan to apply for college and have not already done these steps, please pay close attention to the following information:

1. The priority deadline for many schools is November 1st. This means the following information needs to be submitted before that date:

  • Your application
  • Your transcripts
  • Letters of Recommendation (if applicable)
  • ACT/SAT test scores (if applicable)

**You MUST have your application submitted 1-2 weeks in advance so you have time to make corrections, if needed, and Mrs. Patterson has enough notice to complete your Counselor-Required documents.

2. We recommend students use Common App if they are planning to apply to several schools. It requires an essay, but will save you time in the long run if you are applying to 3 or more colleges.

  • Use your PERSONAL email address.
  • **Please note, even if you are currently attending a college for CCP, you will still apply as a "First-Year Student."

3. Please see the attached directions for detailed information on how to request:

  • Transcripts (through SchooLinks)
  • Letters of Recommendations (through SchooLinks)
  • ACT/SAT Scores
    • **Note: Your ACT/SAT scores are on your transcripts. If you do NOT want me to include them, you MUST tell me (Mrs. Patterson) before you submit your applications.

Helpful information (including screenshots of SchooLinks steps) can be found in this 2026-2027 College Senior Presentation.
