Dear Parent/Guardian,

As another school year draws to a close, we are reflecting on the programs and spaces that make school a wonderful experience for your students.

In this 2025/26 school year, Sage Garden Project awarded our school funds that help pay the salary of our garden & cooking educator. They also provide training and curriculum for the program, supporting us year-long as we teach garden & cooking classes to your students.

They have been collecting data from supported schools, using it to advocate for government funded garden & cooking programs in California and also share it back with us so we can reflect on the benefits within our community. They believe that every school should have access and funding for these programs, and that every child deserves to benefit!

Hearing from you as parents/guardians really helps Sage Garden support our school program.

This is how you can help!

We would appreciate your time in taking a short survey to help us get a better idea of the effect this program has on your student and your family. Below is a link to a short survey that should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. We value your feedback and are looking forward to receiving our school data back based on your thoughtful responses!

Engaging in daily conversations with your child is the most effective way to grow their vocabulary. Consistent, two-way dialogue exposes children to new words, improves comprehension, and provides a strong foundation for future learning

Bobier Elementary School is part of the first cohort to become a community school in our school district in 2022. As a community school we are working to build partnerships with parents and community partners. This will help us serve the needs of our students. One example of a partnership in our community is Major General Murray High School. These high school students come to Bobier Elementary School every Friday to support our students in their literacy skills. We are very grateful for this partnership as it is making a difference in our students.
