The Hatter Chatter

Welcome Back Message from Dr. Eveslage, Superintendent
Greetings, Hatboro-Horsham Students and Families,
As we open the doors to another promising school year, I'm filled with excitement about the incredible possibilities that lie ahead. There's something truly energizing about a new beginning: the enthusiasm in our hallways, the curiosity in our classrooms, and that shared sense of anticipation for all we'll accomplish together.
This year, we renew our commitment to place student learning at the center of all we do. We’re making it clear that our core mission is to ensure every student learns, grows, and succeeds—and that every decision we make must align with this mission. From innovative STEM projects that spark curiosity to literacy programs that unlock new worlds, from collaborative problem-solving in mathematics to creative expression in the arts, our teachers are crafting experiences that not only meet rigorous standards but ignite a genuine love of learning.
We'll be highlighting these classroom successes throughout the year because we believe in the power of sharing our story. When students see their peers engaged in meaningful work, when families witness the depth of learning taking place, and when our community understands the excellence happening within our schools, we all become part of something bigger.
Together, we're not just preparing students for tests or the next grade level. We're nurturing critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and compassionate leaders who will shape our future.
Here's to a year of growth, discovery, and achievement for every student in our care.
Scott Eveslage, Ed.D.

Early Dismissal Changes
Important changes to our early dismissal schedule will take effect this year to benefit both students and teachers. These updates create greater consistency and continuity across our district, ensuring a smoother experience for our students and teaching staff. Additionally, the revised schedule will provide extended time for professional learning, allowing our teachers to deepen their skills and enhance the educational experience they provide in the classroom. These changes will strengthen our commitment to academic excellence and support our educators in delivering the best possible learning environment for your children.
Attendance
We hope to see students at school every day. Consistent school attendance is vital for your child's academic success and personal growth. Regular attendance helps students stay on track with learning, build relationships, and develop important life skills. While we understand that some absences are unavoidable, we encourage prioritizing attendance whenever possible. For detailed information on our attendance policies and procedures, please refer to our attendance page at https://www.hatboro-horsham.org/page/attendance. Together, we can support your child's educational journey through consistent attendance.
Athletics
As we kick off the new school year, we want to share some information about our high school and middle school sports programs. Our athletics programs not only focus on skill development and healthy competition but also emphasize teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.
Middle school students can get involved in sports beginning in 7th grade. Please feel free to reach out to the appropriate contact with any questions or concerns regarding our athletic programs.
