Hawk News 10/4/2024

We have a big week coming up. The majority of the students will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. This test is a great measuring stick to see how students will do on their SAT. This is also an opportunity for 11th graders to get a qualifying score for National Merit status, which could lead to big money for college. With all things that we do at HHS, we ask that everyone gives it their best try. Stress levels are still high for the next couple of weeks, do something fun this weekend outside of the work. Enjoy the last of the 90 degree weather!

The Anonymous Alerts is an anti-bullying and safety app reporting system that helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome. Students or parents can submit reports such as bullying, cyber bullying, depression, dating violence, drug or alcohol use, threats against the school, weapons on campus, and more.

The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between the submitters (students, parents, or community members) and District administration and/or school staff. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.
