Hello Woodstock Family!
The Woodstock Community really shone bright this past week! β¨
Thank you for coming out for the Pastini Dine Out and choosing to make your food dollars count towards our students! π
We loved to see the smiles and enthusiasm at Pokemon Bingo night! Thanks for coming out to catch 'em all! We can't wait to have more Bingo nights next year.
The Earth Day Celebration and School Clean Up event put on by the Garden Committee, Hands on Greater Portland/United Way, and GROW Portland was full of new friends, enthusiastic kids, and lots of good will! Mulch was shoveled and spread, weeds were pulled from the garden beds and all around the campus, seeds were planted, and more! πππ±
Please see below for a special thank you and photos from the event! ππ¦

Earth Day Walk & Roll to School
Celebrate Earth Day by Walking and Rolling to School on Wednesday, April 22nd! Did you know that walking and rolling to school is not only good for your physical and mental health, but helps keep the Earth healthy by reducing carbon released into the air? We can all do our part to protect the Earth by making changes in how we get around. Choose to walk or roll for Earth Day! Both Bike Buses will roll for Earth Day and you are invited!
Earth Day StoryWalk - starts Wednesday, April 22nd (Earth Day)
Featuring the book Black Beach: A Community, an Oil Spill, and the Origin of Earth Day by Shaunna and John Stith. This true story of the first Earth Day - told through the eyes of a fictional child - will inspire readers of all ages to stand up for their planet. The Black Beach StoryWalk will be on display near the north playground basketball courts until May 5th. Thank you to the Woodstock PTA for funding the StoryWalks and to Mrs. Lingo for your support.
Scavenger Hunt Bike Ride on Friday, May 1st
There's no school on Friday, May 1, so we are having a kid-friendly bike ride around the neighborhood to look for fun and unique things! Meet at Woodstock Park at 1 pm and we will ride around the neighborhood with some fun and tasty surprises along the way.
