The Badger Brief

Prothro's Perspective
As we prepare for another school year, I am excited about the direction of Beebe School District. Over the past year, our Board of Education, staff, students, families, and community members helped shape an updated District Strategic Plan that will guide our work for the next several years.
The plan focuses on four priorities: Student Achievement, Safety, Human Capital, and Operations. These areas represent our commitment to academic growth, safe and supportive schools, making Beebe School District a great place to work and learn, and responsibly managing the resources and systems that support our students.
A strategic plan is more than a document. It provides a shared direction and helps ensure that our decisions and resources remain focused on what matters most. I appreciate everyone who participated in meetings, completed surveys, and shared ideas throughout this year-long process.
We are also looking forward to welcoming our students and families back. Open House will be held August 6, and vendor booths in Badger Arena will be open to the public during the event. Community organizations and businesses interested in having a booth are encouraged to reach out, and we will be glad to help make that possible. The first day of school for grades 1–12 is August 11, and kindergarten students will begin August 13.
Thank you for your continued support of Beebe School District. As we begin this new year, we look forward to living out the Badger Way, working together, maintaining high expectations, and always doing what is best for students.

Supporting Student Success: Our Structured Support Classrooms
This year, our district is excited to introduce Structured Support Classrooms for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. These classrooms provide short-term support for students who need extra help learning the social, emotional, and behavior skills that lead to success in school. Students continue their regular academic work while receiving individualized support, coaching, and opportunities to practice positive choices. The goal is to help students build the skills they need so they can return to their home classroom ready to learn and be successful.
Structured Support Classrooms are one more way our district is investing in every child's success. By teaching students positive ways to solve problems, manage emotions, and make good decisions, we help create stronger classrooms for everyone. Students gain confidence, teachers have more time for instruction, and classrooms become calmer, safer places to learn. Through this program, we are helping students grow, supporting our teachers, and creating positive learning environments across our district.
