September 2025 CMS Newsletter
Dear Cody Middle School Community,
As we turn the calendar to October and begin to welcome the Fall season, we find ourselves at an important point in the school year. Quarter 1 is wrapping up, and soon Quarter 2 will begin. This transition provides students a natural opportunity to reflect on their progress, set new goals, and continue building on the strong start they have made.
Last week we concluded a fun and spirited Homecoming Week. It was exciting to watch our staff and students showcase their creativity, energy, and pride in Cody Middle School. Their enthusiasm reminds us that school is not only about academics but also about building a vibrant and connected community.
First Friday Rewards Day
We are excited to announce our first Friday Rewards Day, coming up on Friday, October 10. Eligible students will get to choose from four exciting activity options that morning. This is a celebration of our studentsβ hard work, positive behavior, and academic excellence during the first part of the school year.
Communication with Families
We remain committed to keeping our families informed and connected. You can expect regular updates through newsletters, emails, Facebook posts, news on our school website, and frequent communication home from our staff. Strong partnerships with families make a meaningful difference for students, and we will continue to prioritize clear and consistent communication.
Messages to the Front Office
One way parents and guardians can support our front office staff is by notifying us of any changes to your studentβs after-school plans prior to the start of 9th and 10th period (2:15 pm). Our front office staff works tirelessly, and early notification helps ensure that all messages are delivered to students in a timely and efficient manner.
Closing
As we head into October, l hope we can continue to carry forward the energy and momentum of the first quarter. Together, as a school community, let's continue to partner and work together so that all of our students can be successful and proud of what they accomplish at Cody Middle School. Thank you for your continued support!

Required Student ID
If your student rides any bus, please make sure they have their Student ID. PCSD6 Transportation will begin strictly enforcing the use of Student IDs on all buses, including in-town field trips. PCSD6 wants to make sure all students are safe and accounted for as well as be able to identify when and where they get on and off the bus. If your student requires a new Student ID, please let the Cody Middle School Front Office know and we will provide you with a replacement card form that you can return to us along with a $5 ID replacement fee. If you have questions, please call the PCSD6 Transportation Department at 307-587-2851.
