KAES Keenections

Welcome back to school. It is always exciting to get back into school after a long break. I hope you have had a good start. Starting strong is just as important as ending strong.

Progress reports for the 2nd quarter were emailed this week. Please take a moment to check your email for your child's report.

Winter MAP testing will be January 16-19. This test helps us see how your child is learning so far over the school year. These are regular school days but classes will be arranged for testing times.

KAES Scripps Spelling Bee will be held on January 11, 2024 at 9:00 am in the KAES gymnasium. Parents, family and friends are invited to attend. We will have 24 students from 4th through 8th grade competing. Each student has been given the 500 word basic list to study but any word in the dictionary is fair game. Come join us for some competitive spelling.

As the temperature gets colder it is important that students dress for the cooler temperatures. It is likely students will still go outside even though it is cold and will need their jackets. If you are missing a jacket come and look through our lost jacket rack. You might be surprised by what you find.

KAES is blessed to have a resale shop where families can find school clothes. We also thank everyone who donates their old uniforms. We are needing help keeping all the uniforms clean and organized. If you are interested in helping, please contact the school office. You are needed!
