Five teams, coached by Mrs. Schaefer, competed at the State FFA Convention April 16-18.

Of those competing, Alexis Cerroll placed 7th in Dairy Judging.

Receiving their State FFA degrees were Ethan Skarnagel, Dean Shultz, Alexis Ceroll, and Tyan Johnson. Congratulations on all your hard work over the last four years!

Students in personal finance are learning about purchasing automobiles.

Kyra and Ethan are in the market to purchase a car. They learned how to negotiate the price with salesman Carter, while Manager Nate stood by for assistance.

Another reminder to check with Ms. Veflin-Filipek about scholarship deadlines. Many of them are due soon.

Underclassmen registered for next year's classes this week. Be sure to chat with your student about what classes they are signing up for in the 2023-2024 school year. If they need some help deciding what to take, they should be sure to chat with Mrs. Veflin-Filipek or a teacher for some guidance.

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:30-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.
