Principal Message
Dear Parents & Guaridans,
Happy last Friday of the school year!
This will be our final newsletter, as we only have two and a half days remaining next week. It has been a busy and exciting week at WCS, highlighted by Field Day and the Grade 6 trip to Canobie Lake Park.
We were fortunate to have perfect weather for Field Day, and we are incredibly grateful to all of our parent volunteers who helped make the day such a success. Your support and enthusiasm contributed to a wonderful experience for our students.
Our sixth-grade students also enjoyed a fantastic day at Canobie Lake Park, making memories and celebrating their final year at WCS. It has been an absolute pleasure working with all of you and your children throughout this school year. We wish our sixth-grade students the very best as they move on to Windham Middle School next year.
Next week, we will begin with our annual Step-Up Day. All students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers for the upcoming school year. As placements are shared, we encourage families to celebrate this exciting milestone with their children and focus on the opportunities ahead rather than on which friends may or may not be in their class. Students will also receive their schedules and summer reading information.
For families of students moving to Grade 7, any questions or concerns regarding schedules, placements, or transition plans should be directed to the middle school.
We will also be celebrating our sixth-grade students with our annual internal clap-out, a tradition that allows our school community to recognize and honor our departing students. Please note that this event is for students and staff only.
As we close out the school year, please ensure that all outstanding technology fees have been paid. Pay close attention to any notices that are sent home and complete any outstanding payments this year to ensure your child is eligible for computer pickup next school year.
Finally, our Lost and Found remains quite full. Any unclaimed items will be donated on June 19, so please encourage your child to check for any missing belongings before then.
Thank you for a wonderful school year. We truly appreciate your partnership, support, and trust throughout the year. It has been a pleasure working with your children and watching them learn, grow, and succeed. We wish all of our families a safe and enjoyable summer filled with time to rest, relax, and build lasting memories with family and friends.
Best wishes for a wonderful summer, and we look forward to welcoming our returning students back in the fall!

Math Olympiads
Congratulations to all of our Math Olympiad students on finishing the season strong! We are especially proud to share that one of our students placed in the top 1% of participants—an outstanding accomplishment that reflects hard work, perseverance, and a love of mathematics.
A special thank you to Mrs. Lemay for coordinating the program and supporting our students throughout the season. Her dedication, encouragement, and commitment to fostering mathematical thinking have helped make this achievement possible.
We are proud of all of our Math Olympiad participants for representing our school so well!
End-of-Year Medication Pick-Up Notice
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the school year comes to a close, this is a reminder that all student medications must be picked up from the school nurse's office by the last day of school.
Medications cannot be sent home with students. Any medication not picked up by the end of the school year will be properly disposed of in accordance with school policy.
Please plan to stop by the health office during school hours to collect your child's medication. If you have any questions or need to make special arrangements, feel free to contact the school nurse at ldolezal@windhamsd.org or 603-845-1554 x3810.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Have a safe and healthy summer!
Sincerely,
Lenka Dolezal
