We are so excited to welcome our students back to school this week after Winter Break! It has been wonderful seeing smiling faces, renewed energy, and a strong start as we move full-steam ahead into the second semester of the school year.

This morning we celebrated our Students of the Month for the month of December. This month students were recognized for the character trait compassion and were nominated by their teachers and/or peers. Congratulations to each of these Bobcats!

Beaufort County Schools and Coosa Elementary now uses ParentSquare for all school and district communications.

This means:

● All messages from Coosa Elementary will arrive through ParentSquare (starting this month).

● We will no longer use BrightArrow for school messages.

• Teachers will no longer be able to use ClassDojo for messaging.

Why this matters for you:

● ParentSquare gives you more control: choose how and how often you receive messages (text, email, app notifications).

● You can message your child(ren)’s teachers and other school staff directly through the app.

● To customize your account and start using these features, please download the ParentSquare app using the QR code below.

37% of our families have signed up for the app so far!

IMPORTANT DETAIL: Please make sure you sign up using the same email address you have provided in PowerSchool in order to connect your account to Coosa/your student(s). If you no longer check the email you provided in PowerSchool and would like to change it, please send the new email address to Mrs. Tyson at nichelle.mcewen-tyson@beaufort.k12.sc.us.
