MS1 Progress Reports

Grades have now closed for mid-semester 1. Progress reports will be available on PowerSchool by 3:00 PM on November 13. This interim period allows teachers to finalize grades, and we encourage students and families to review assignment scores and communicate with teachers regarding any questions or concerns. Course scores are rolling, and the progress report reflects learning progress up to that date, while final scores will be communicated on transcripts. Additionally, at the end of each reporting period (November, January, April), students with off-campus privileges and their parents will be notified of any changes to their status based on academic performance and adherence to the student handbook.

Big congratulations to our Girls Cross Country team!

🎉Two Sabers, Samantha Swanbon and Brynn Siska, have qualified for New Englands!

Samantha placed 10th and Brynn placed 15th at the Meet of Champions, ranking among the top 25 fastest runners in New Hampshire!

And that’s not all — Siska was the fastest freshman girl in the entire state! 🏃🏻‍♀️

Souhegan Field Hockey are the NHIAA Division II Champions!

After a spectacular regular season, the Sabers entered the state tournament as the #1 seed, earning a first-round bye. In the quarterfinals, they hosted Kingswood and posted a commanding 4–0 victory. That win set up a semifinal rematch with Oyster River — the only team to defeat Souhegan during the regular season. This time, the outcome was different, as the Sabers secured a hard-fought 1–0 win to punch their ticket to the championship game. The lone goal came from senior captain Ella Normandin, off a feed from Mariellah Dart, just 1:22 into the game.

Awaiting them in the final was the #2-seeded Bow Falcons, a team that tied Souhegan just weeks earlier. Bow struck first, but the Sabers quickly responded. Junior Oriannah Dart converted a penalty stroke just four minutes later to even the score. In the second half, the Sabers took control, generating seven consecutive penalty corners before freshman Mariellah Dart buried the game-winner with just over six minutes remaining.

The victory marked Souhegan’s fourth championship appearance in six years and their first state title since 2007 — a historic finish to an outstanding season.

Several Sabers were also recognized with postseason honors from the New Hampshire Field Hockey Coaches Association:

  • 1st Team All-State: Junior, Oriannah Dart and Freshman, Mariellah Dart
  • 2nd Team All-State: Junior, Ella Russell and Junior Captain, Eme Godin
  • Honorable Mention: Senior Captain, Amelia Warecki and Junior, Avery Wyborney
  • Offensive Player of the Year: Oriannah Dart
  • Coach of the Year: Kelli Braley

Senior Goalie Amelia Warecki was also selected to try out for the Twin State team on Nov 9th. The tryout is for seniors who are considered the top in the state. 20 field players and 2 goalies will be selected to compete against the team from Vermont in June.
