July is Parks and Recreation Month!

July calls for a nationwide celebration of the vital role parks and recreation plays in enhancing the quality of life for communities everywhere. This month, we recognize the power of parks to bring people together, promote healthy lifestyles, preserve natural beauty, and create opportunities for lifelong learning, play, and connection.

Whether it's a morning walk through your favorite park, a family picnic in the sunshine, cooling off at the pool, cheering on a youth sports league, or dancing your heart out in a Zumba class- parks and recreation programs make everyday moments meaningful. They help strengthen our neighborhoods, foster inclusivity, and provide safe, welcoming spaces for all.

Behind the scenes, your local Parks and Recreation team works tirelessly to create and maintain these experiences- planning programs, maintaining green spaces, and ensuring that our facilities are accessible and enjoyable for everyone. This month, we honor the staff, volunteers, and community members who make it all possible.

Join us in celebrating all that parks and recreation have to offer! Throughout July, we'll be hosting special events and activities that highlight the people, programs, and places that make our community vibrant.

Let's get outside, get involved, and make every day a little brighter- Happy Parks and Recreation Month!
