I hope that everyone had a wonderful Winter Break. The students did a terrific job transitioning back to school this week!

2024-25 Kindergarten Registration Opens on Tuesday, January 9th:

Beginning with the 24-25 school year, PV's Kindergarten program will be FULL DAY.

Will your child turn 5 years old before September 1, 2024? If so, he/she is eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2024! Registration will be completed online using our online registration (OLR) portal in ParentVUE. Online registration for 24-25 Kindergarten opens Tuesday, January 9. We are looking forward to the 2024 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 15th and hope you can join us! See below for information about the variety of opportunities for our families, including In Person and Take Home options.

MLK Day of Service

This year's event features both In Person and Take Home opportunities. The Day of Service will take place in the Perkiomen Valley High School Cafeteria from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. The day is broken into two sessions, 9 am & 11 am, where elementary and middle school students can take part in educational and service activities to benefit both local and international organizations.

If you are unable to join us for the In Person opportunities, we are offering a limited number of Take Home service projects for both elementary and middle school students. To participate in the Take Home activities, select the Take Home option in the sign up link below.

Please note:

• This is a FREE event. (choose "other" on the registration where it asks if you want to make a donation to the PV Foundation and then finish your registration)
• Participants are asked to choose only one option: In Person or Take Home.
• Spaces are limited and subject to availability.
  
• Sign up for Take Home options will close on January 9th so that materials can be distributed.
• Sign up for In Person will be open through January 16th.

Please see below for the many engaging activities, including a new "stuff a plushy" station, for the students:

This year, we’re excited to introduce a “stuff a plushy” station - these stuffed animals will be donated to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Elementary students will also make monster bookmarks for First Book Philadelphia and local Little Free Libraries…..thank you cards for local VA hospitals…..and blessing bags for the Cecil and Grace Bean Soup Kitchen in Norristown. Students will meet a local veteran and his service dog and find out how these dogs are trained to be helpers. They’ll also learn about recycling in our community and watch a presentation by PV high school students highlighting Martin Luther King Jr.’s mission.

We hope you can join us for this inspiring day of community service!! If you‘re unable to participate in the live event, sign up for a take-home kit using the same link above - while supplies last!

If you would like to part of our electronic school-wide student directory, please complete the Google form linked below. This is an optional form and you can submit as much or as little information as you would like. School directories are very helpful for parents/guardians to connect for birthday parties, play dates, etc.

The information in the directory will be provided to families from Home & School via a protected Google document.

If you need to make an unexpected dismissal change during the day, please contact the main office via telephone (610-409-9751) by 2:30pm, if possible.

Please do not only email your child's teacher as teachers often are unable to check their emails until dismissal has concluded.

If your child is going to be absent please be sure to call or email the Evergreen attendance line. It may be helpful to save the phone number and email address in your cell phone.
