Message from Mr. Tejkl

“Strive for Progress, Not Perfection”

Welcome to HOMECOMING WEEEK!!! I am excited about my first homecoming and being able experience what it is like! I have heard great things and looking forward to being a part of it. As we continue through our year, I want to thank all of our community members, parents and students for their continuous effort to make the start of the year AWESOME! Can you believe that we are a month into it? We have been off to a good start, but no one likes to settle so how can we continue to push to be great?! Keep bringing the positive energy and enthusiasm each day!

Along those lines, I encourage you not to get lost in the process of always trying to be perfect. It isn’t possible no matter how much we strive to be. However, if you are moving forward, you are making progress and progress is what the goal should be. Everyone’s best looks different, and our best may look different each day. Some days are tough. Some days are easier. You have the option of what you want to do with the day; give your best and attack the day or wait until tomorrow. The problem with tomorrow is that it can be pushed back farther or perhaps never happens.

In the end, your progress is what is remembered, not if things went perfect. As parents, we strive to give our all for our children and we will continue to do that. Perfection isn’t possible but if you are there for your kids, you are making progress. This is the same for our teachers and staff. We may not be perfect every day, but we are striving for progression and will continue to give our best each day. May not always be the greatest of best but we will give what we can. I encourage you to do the same. You have made great strides and have come a long way. Continue to move forward!

Have a great rest of your Sunday and let’s have a great homecoming week!

Quote of the week to make you think:

"'Strive for progress, not perfection.

D.C. Trip

Otherwise known as the D.C. trip! We will be having a parent/student meeting for those that have already registered, those still wanting to register and those just wanting to get additional information.

We also have a couple of fundraisers coming up that we need to get organized to complete so we will try to get all of this accomplished in one meeting.

Our meeting is going to be Sept. 22 at 630 p.m. in Mr. Gabel's room. Registration materials and information regarding the trip itself were attached to an email sent to all Juniors and Sophomores. All students in the classes of 2023 and 2024 are welcome to register as well as adults willing to attend as chaperone's for the group.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
