Major calendar change regarding the concert! The December concert for ALL band members will be on December 12 at Staley Middle School.

Medieval Times social event is this week! Please see below for all details.

Concert Date Moved to Thursday, December 12th at Staley MS.

• This change is due to the many students in basketball and the schedule overlapping the concert. We never want our students to have to choose school sports or band!
• That week basketball for both boys and girls is on Monday. The tournament is on Friday/Saturday and the coaches told us this is a GREAT day for our concert.

If you student turned in their permission slip and money on time then they are attending the Medieval Times social event!

3:35p- School ends, go home
5:30p- Arrive back at Staley for roll call (Uniform: Band Shirt and Jeans)
5:45p- bus rolls
7:30p- Let the show begin!
11:00p- Bus pulls into Staley Parking Lot and students dismissed.

• Please do NOT park in circle drive when picking up your student so the buses may get through.

If you are a chaperone, please meet at 5:30pm for a short chaperone meeting. All chaperones may take their student home from Medieval Times after they check out with Ms. Hoffman.

• What: The Plano Community Band is performing a concert with special guest and Grammy Award winning flute player, Nestor Torres.
• When: Sunday, November 17th, at 2:30pm, Eisemann Music Center in Richardson
• If you would like to attend this FREE event then please reserve tickets HERE.

• This is NOT a required event...this is simply an opportunity to attend a concert
• You might event see a familiar face in the ensemble. Ms. Hoffman performs with the Plano Community Band!

• We have started a new reward program for those going above and beyond what is asked of them in class!
• All students were given a pass-off sheet this week detailing the expectations for the reward trip.
• The students who complete the pass off sheet by Dec 6th will be invited to the Main Event Reward Trip.
• Please ask to see your student's pass-off sheet!

• Lessons play a vital role in the individual students success in band! Lesson are for the students who might be a little behind, and even for those who are excelling and would like an added enriching challenge.

• To enroll in lessons please send Ms. Hoffman an email at 'hoffmans@friscoisd.org' expressing your interest. Please also include your student's name and instrument.

• For every bag of miniature candy, we will give 5 bonus stickers to your student. No limit to the number of bags of candy!
