Spring Has Arrived!

Reminder that next week is Spring Break and there is no school for students. Also, due to only a few snow days used this year, Spring Break has been extended - Monday, April 10 is now a day off of school. School reopens on Tuesday, April 11th. We hope that you have a relaxing and enjoyable time!

The 3rd Marking Period ends on Friday, April 7th. We encourage students and families to check PowerSchool/Parent Portal regularly to stay current with student progress. Also, the Faculty and Staff Extra Help Times are posted below if you would like to schedule some extra time for more support in class.

Note about Morning Student Drop-Off

To help minimize drop-off line delays, kindly pull forward when dropping off your student(s) and have them be ready with their belongings to come into school. If you need more time, feel free to pull into a parking spot and we will gladly help your student(s) cross the drop-off line.

Reminder that the 6th grade bell for 1st Period rings at 8:10am and the 7th/8th grade bell for 1st Period rings at 8:14am. Doors to the school open for breakfast at 7:50am and then again at 8am for all drop off students.

Thank you for planning accordingly in your busy mornings to get your student(s) to school on time.

NYS Computer-Based Testing

Below are the dates for the NYS Computer Based Testing for ELA and Math in Grades 6-8. The dates are below.

CBT for ELA: Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20th.

CBT for Math: Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3rd.

USAgain Bins

If you find yourself Spring Cleaning over break next week and have any of the items found on the photo below, please place them in our USAgain Bins located in the parking lot!

To help, save any clothing items, shoes, linens or other textiles and drop them off in our bins. Besides keeping clothes out of landfills, every time we fill up a bin: the benefits are two-fold. First, our RMS Environmental Club receives funds to use for our club. Also, USAgain plants a tree. Clean out those closets and bring those unwanted items to our USAgain bin!

A huge "Thank You" to all the families that purchased Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Orders can be picked up on Wednesday 3/29 at dismissal in the library and from 6:30 to 7:30. We made over $750 which will be put towards a Shakespeare assembly for 7th and 8th grade later this year.

The next PTO meeting will be on Wednesday 4/12 at 7pm in the RMS Library. We hope you can join us as we discuss the events for the rest of the year. Come hear school updates and be a part of the planning for end of year activities. We look forward to seeing you there!
