MARCH 2021 Edition

Hello Roadrunner families!

Spring break will be here soon! The staff at May would like to wish you all a wonderful time with family and friends!

At this time, we have added as many students as we can to meet safety requirements. With that in mind, if your child is an in person learner, it is imperative your child attends daily. Report cards will be available March 26th on HAC system after 4 pm. Your child's teacher may be contacting you for a conference to discuss their academic progress and possible placement for next school year.

You should have received a STAAR letter and google form (virtual students only) that explains the dates and process for testing in May. Please provide the feedback on the google form so we can plan accordingly.

FOOD FOR FAMILIES! Please see the images below for information about food being served at specific NISD schoosl during Spring Break.

The winter storm forced us to cancel our meeting last month. Our next meeting is scheduled for April 20th. We will also need to fill some PTA Board positions that were not filled this year. Please contact our P.T.A. President, Mr. Lara at mayelempta@gmail.com

ICYMI: PARENTING SUPPORT

Our Counselors held a parent meeting with the organization DePelchin Children's Center. They offer a FREE Positive Parenting Program. The program is designed to empower parents to feel more confident and capable in dealing with their children.

The Positive Parenting Program works one-on-one with parents and caregivers to look at why children misbehave, how to get children to behave, what to do when children misbehave and how to parent positively in real-world, everyday situations. Parenting is hard and it can become stressful, but the program is designed to support your parenting journey.

Available in both English and Spanish. Zero costs.

Requirements:

  • Reside in Bexar County
  • Have a child between 0-17 years of age.

Click below or submit any questions to mwatkins@depelchin.org or call (713) 802-7777 to register.

Green is Good

The green means your child is able to come to school. If you get red, please keep your child home and monitor their symptoms. We suggest getting tested to ensure the ability to come to school, or you can get an alternate diagnosis from your physician.
