A Message from Superintendent Mr. Rose
Dear Wilson Families,
I want to share my deepest appreciation with our entire Wilson community for showing up to our incredible events this past month. From our Thanksgiving celebration where we came together as a Wilson family to our annual Fall Festival that welcomed hundreds of attendees. This season has definitely been filled with laughter, connection, and that unmistakable Wilson spirit. Events like these remind us why Wilson is more than a district—we are a family. When our community shows up the way you did, it reflects the heart of who we are and the values we carry forward for our students.
As we continue with a season of gratitude, I find myself reflecting on just how thankful I am for each of you. To our families—thank you for trusting us and choosing Wilson. To our dedicated staff—thank you for the passion, love, and commitment you bring into our schools every single day. And to our students—you are the reason we do this work, and you inspire us to be better with every step you take.
Let's have an incredible month celebrating success and learning every day.
Thank you for being part of our Wilson family!
With appreciation,
Mr. Rose
Superintendent
Wilson Elementary School District
Field Trip Highlight: Visit to the MIM in Phoenix
Our students visited the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix and it was an incredible learning experience. Students explored instruments from around the world and learned how music connects people across different cultures. They especially enjoyed the interactive exhibits, where they could listen to unique instruments, watch musicians perform, and even try playing some themselves in the Experience Gallery.
The trip sparked a lot of curiosity and excitement, and many students shared that they discovered new instruments and musical styles they had never seen before. It was a wonderful day of hands-on learning, exploration, and fun.
What’s Happening in Art?
Our art students have been busy getting creative as they prepare for the upcoming Arts Showcase. From painting and drawing to mixed-media projects, students are exploring new techniques and expressing their ideas in exciting ways. The room has been buzzing with imagination as each student works to complete pieces they are proud to share with families and the school community.
Middle School Lesson on Resilience
Our middle school students focused on the theme of resilience. During a guided lesson, they discussed real-life examples, practiced strategies for overcoming challenges, and reflected on times they’ve demonstrated perseverance. Classrooms were calm and focused as students concentrated at their desks, working through activities designed to build confidence and problem-solving skills.
Elementary Students Learning and Growing
Our elementary classrooms have been full of energy and curiosity. Students have been engaging in hands-on learning, collaborating with classmates, and growing in both academic and social skills. Recent classroom photos capture their excitement—reading together, exploring new concepts, and sharing their ideas. It’s been a wonderful week of learning and development across all grade levels.
Congratulations to Mr. Kent – APS Grant Winner!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mr. Kent, who received a surprise visit from APS on Friday announcing that he is an official APS Grant Award Winner!
But that was not the only surprise—APS brought along Phoenix Sun player Mark Williams who helped deliver the award in a truly unforgettable way. Our students were buzzing with excitement as they cheered on Mr. Kent and celebrated his achievement.
This grant recognizes Mr. Kent’s passion for teaching, his innovative classroom ideas, and his commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for our Wildcats. His dedication reflects the very best of the Wilson Way, and we are so grateful to have him on our team.
Congratulations, Mr. Kent!
Delivering Dreams Provides 100 Students with New Uniforms!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Delivering Dreams for their incredible generosity and continued partnership. This month, they provided 100 Wilson students with brand-new uniforms, helping ensure every child feels confident, prepared, and proud when they walk onto campus each day.
We are deeply grateful for organizations like Delivering Dreams that share our commitment to the whole child. Thank you for believing in our students and helping us foster a strong foundation for success—the Wilson Way!
Celebrating Connection at the Wilson ESD Fall Festival
The community showed tremendous support for Wilson ESD’s Fall Festival. The event was filled with vibrant activities, joyful laughter, and opportunities for families to connect, creating a memorable experience for students, families, and staff alike. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this annual tradition such a success.
We are thankful for the families who continue to support our schools and for the strong relationships that make events like this possible. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another wonderful celebration.
Wilson Primary Farm Day
Wilson Primary recently invited special guests for one of our favorite annual traditions—Farm Day!
Students had the opportunity to explore and learn with a variety of farm animals and activities. From feeding goats and petting rabbits, Farm Day was filled with curiosity, excitement, and unforgettable moments for our youngest Wildcats.
Experiences like these nurture learning beyond the classroom and give students a meaningful connection to the world around them. Thank you to our amazing staff and partners who helped make this day so special!
