HF FYI

HF would like to wish all of our students, families and community an enjoyable and safe Thanksgiving Break next week (no FYI next week)! There is no school Wednesday, November 26th, Thursday, November 27th or Friday, November 28th. We are more than grateful for each and every one of you.

Our Scholastic Bowl team continues to have an outstanding season! At the Scobowl Solo Tournament at Sandburg this past weekend, the team was led by Senior Luke De Bruin, who tied for 9th out of 128 competitors; he also earned top 10 honors in the categories of Classical Music, European History, Social Science, Current Events, and Geography!

Senior Paul Cavalieri, Junior Eliot Wheat, and Freshman Jordi Pesce all finished with a winning record, and Junior Oreoluwa Sarah Owolabi finished with 3 wins and tied for 5th in the Biology category! Go Vikings!

Love Buona Beef? Love Basketball? Stop by Buona in Flossmoor today, November 20th: Show this flyer and 20% of your purchase goes toward HF's Girls Basketball!

Band spirit wear makes great holiday gifts! HF's Jazz Band and Marching Band Spirit Wear Stores are both open now through November 30th. Shout out to Senior Sophie McManus, thanks to her, a new Jazz Band logo is adorning the 2025-2026 merch. Don't miss out!

Speaking of missing out...did you miss out on ordering Marching Band Spirit Wear? Or after seeing your cool t-shirts and sweatshirts, other family members said I want one too! It's not too late. Some of the spirit wear is once again available for the holidays, including some new items. You can even get your "Veterans Night" and "Pink Out" gear for next year.

P.S. You will need to open each link separately (either on separate devices or using a different browsers). Once you open one, that's the only one that will open even if you clear the history.

Thanks for supporting HF Band with your holiday purchases!

As the gift-giving season approaches, the Flossmoor Police Department would like to share with families what the current state laws are regarding e-bikes and e-scooters. While growing in popularity and affordability, there are safety concerns with these devices and, therefore, limitations set by the state of Illinois. The current state law restricts Class 3 e-bikes to users ages 16+ and all low-speed e-scooters (those that can reach a speed of 10 MPH) to users ages 18+. All types of e-bikes are prohibited from use on sidewalks, according to Illinois state law. See more details on the current state regulations in the graphic shown.

HF families and students are in control of how HF communicates with them. HF uses Parent Square | Student Square to communicate with families and students.
