Deadlines approaching.... Deadlines approaching....

Do you want to change to in-person or go virtual?

To best prepare for the second semester at the high school, we are providing our high school families the opportunity to request either VIRTUAL or HYBRID for the second semester. This window will open on Friday, October 23rd and will close on November 8th. If you have questions about this process, please contact your child’s high school cohort counselor.

Link For 2nd Semester Placement Change

All families must complete the form by Sunday, November 8th at 11:59 pm. No placement changes will be accepted after this date.

Are you a Senior that needs help with FAFSA?

We have another great virtual opportunity for you to get help filling out your FAFSA if you have not already gotten it done. INvestEd will be on hand Thursday, November 12, from 6-8pm, to virtually answer questions and guide families through the process. It is important that you and your parents have all the necessary paperwork, including tax & income information (for both students & parents), to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Future Promises Program

Future Promises is a school-based program that offers education, case management, and support to pregnant and parenting teens. Warren Central has two case managers available, Ashaki Sholar (for teen mothers) and Roger McCoy (for teen fathers). The case managers provide resources, academic support, parenting support, and a weekly group for the students. We also offer baby supplies to our students through our two events, which are the "Holiday Celebration," and the "Year-End Celebration", in which we recognize our seniors. We also offer support in our Post Grad Program, where we continue to mentor our students for two years after graduation.

If you are in need of these services, please contact your counselor.

Construction Update!

If you haven't been to the Performing Arts Department lately, you may not know that we're in the midst of a major renovation project! Most PA classrooms and offices (band room, upstairs theatre room, piano lab, music library, percussion room, instrument storage room, choir dance room, guard room, practice rooms) have been temporarily relocated to the Performing Arts Center, and when this phase is finished, the orchestra room and choir room will be up next. Check out the photos to the left and see if you recognize these areas!

Testing Information for 2nd Semester

If you are a family who is considering remaining fully VIRTUAL in grades 9-12, for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, we want to share some local and state assessment windows in advance that students will have to take in-person on a school campus.

Woah! Check this out...

Students in Mr. Pfister's Science Class received a class demonstration by a student of a bottle rocket taking flight. Students were studying projectile motion. The launch of the bottle was videoed and then analyzed. The motion was graphed to show vertical and horizontal velocities are separate. Check out how high the bottle went!

p-ebt cards

Some families will be receiving Pandemic-EBT cards (P-EBT). The purpose of P-EBT is to provide food assistance to families with children who would have received free or reduced lunch while attending school but are not in school due to COVID-19 restrictions. This benefit is available only to families with children enrolled in an Indiana school, and were eligible for free or reduced lunch or the school is a Community Eligibility Provision participant. The student must have participated in virtual learning, was in quarantine, or was out of school due to illness for at least 5 consecutive school days, or schools had a delayed start or school closure due to COVID-19 of 5 consecutive days or more.

For more information on the P-EBT cards and to see if you qualify, please visit Pandemic-EBT.
