AP Exam Registration closes October 28
Registration for AP tests is open until October 28. The AP test is optional for students taking an AP course. Scores on an AP test can earn college credit or advanced placement; this link lets you see the credit policy by college. A few AP classes are also concurrent enrollment with Southeast, as noted in the registration. The cost is $65 per test, and testing will take place in May. If you qualify for Educational Benefits, that fee is waived. Please reach out to me, and I will assist with registration. All AP tests are digital and will be taken on Chromebooks; a few are hybrid, with part of the test digital and part in print.

RWPS Flight Path 2030
Year one of Flight Path 2030 is complete, and Red Wing Public Schools is ready to keep building on this work for students!
Flight Path 2030 is Red Wing Public Schools’ five-year plan to help students build skills for the future before they graduate. Through 2030, RWPS will continue adding courses, teacher support, partnerships, and hands-on experiences connected to data, computing, artificial intelligence, and real-world problem solving.
This work helps Winger graduates build digital fluency, use technology responsibly, and prepare for the choices ahead.
We are grateful to Red Wing High School graduate Dwight Diercks and his wife, Dian, whose five-year pledge is helping make Flight Path 2030 possible.
We are proud of the first year and excited to keep building for Red Wing students.
Read more about Flight Path 2030 on our website: https://fp2030.rwps.org/
Student Opportunity!
One component of Flight Path 2030 is to encourage students to consider technology-related careers. Joining the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing or AiC is one way to explore opportunities and connect to state and national career networks.
All grades 9-12 students are eligible to join. Membership is free.
Right now AiC also is accepting applications to recognize students for their computing-related achievements and interests. The AiC Award application window is open through Oct. 27.
Flight Path 2030 Year 1 Annual Report
Flight Path 2030 is being built over five years, and the Year 1 annual report to the community is ready. As the work grows, we’ll continue sharing the courses, experiences, partnerships and people helping prepare Red Wing students for what comes next.
