Message from Mrs. Jones
Hello, Fallbrook Students & Families,
This past week, Fallbrook High School students took part in College and Career Connection Day. The goal was simple: every student should leave with at least one concrete next step toward planning for life after high school. We believe every pathway should stay open for every student, so our focus for this day was to genuinely put that belief into practice. Below is a summary of what students were offered on Wednesday. If you haven't had a chance to ask your student about their experience, please take a moment to do so!
Grade 9 & Grade 10: Some students opted into the ASVAB, while others took part in College & Career Connection Activities and lessons which explored how vision influences decisions and how expectations shape outcomes. Students also examined the relationship between long-term goals and daily choices.
Grade 11: Students had the option to participate in the ASVAB, while all others took the PSAT to better understand what they are expected to know when they begin the college application process in 12th grade.
Grade 12: Some students opted into the ASVAB, while all other students explored one of three breakout sessions: College application and FAFSA/CADAA support, Palomar College enrollment steps and Palomar Promise guidance, and a trades- and workforce-oriented session spent exploring how to speak about the hard and soft skills students have gathered over their educational and personal journeys, and how to begin thinking about how their skills and values align as they look toward future careers.
We are grateful to the number of community partners who donated gift cards, awards, snacks, and more to make this a successful and rewarding event for our students.
FAFSA & CADAA Financial Aid Applications are Officially Open!
A big congratulations to our seniors who have already started their FAFSA and California Dream Act Applications. The 2027–28 FAFSA is open now, and the U.S. Department of Education says most families can finish it in about 15 minutes. Parents can be invited to complete their section by text or email, so it no longer requires everyone at the same table. California students should complete one application, the FAFSA or the CADAA (not both), and submit it by March 2, 2027 to be considered for the highest scholarship offers. Applications submitted after that date miss out on some of the best state aid, so starting early is the smartest move a senior can make this fall. Our Counseling and College & Career Center staff are ready to help any student or family who wants support!
AP/IB Exam Registration Deadline is Right Around the Corner!
If your student is currently enrolled in an AP or IB exam, please remind them of the exam registration requirements and timelines; these are completed in class with their assigned AP & IB teachers. All exam fees for classes students are enrolled in at FHS are covered by FUHSD. If you have any questions about AP or IB exams, or course expectations, please reach out directly to your student's teacher(s) for support. Additionally, if you have opted to level down from an AP or IB course at the trimester, please make sure that you have communicated with Ms. Wiblemo at mwiblemo@fuhsd.net to ensure that you are not charged a cancellation fee.
If there is anything you need, please feel free to reach out by telephone at (760) 723-6300 x3102, x3110, or x3103, or by email through our website.
Let's make this a great week, Warriors!

Trimester Transition Reminders
Reminder: This week marks the end of First Trimester! Please be sure to check in with your student about class expectations:
Will there be a final exam, and if so, what is on the test?
What is the last day to turn in class work and assignments?
As we close the trimester, please also note that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 2nd. This is our Trimester Transition Day, where staff have the opportunity to finalize Trimester 1 Grades and plan for Trimester 2 instruction.
Trimester 2 Begins on Tuesday, November 3rd.
A Message from Our Cafeteria
After-School Supper Reminders
We’re happy to provide students with one free qualifying after-school supper each day through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
In order for us to continue offering after school meals, program requirements state that students must remain in the cafeteria while eating and select a meal that meets program requirements, including a serving of fruit or vegetables.
If a student chooses a meal that does not meet these requirements—including leaving out the required fruit or vegetable—or takes a second supper, a charge of $4.65 per meal will be applied to their student account. These meals do not qualify for USDA reimbursement, so the charge helps cover the cost of the meal.
Please remind your student to follow staff directions and allow time to enjoy supper in the cafeteria before leaving. Thank you for helping us keep this program available to our students!
Impact Aid Forms - Due November 13th!
As part of our annual data collection, we are asking for your participation in this year's Impact Aid survey. This survey plays a critical role in securing federal funding for our district.
What is Impact Aid? Impact Aid is a federal program that compensates school districts for lost tax revenue due to the presence of federally owned lands within their boundaries.
Why is it Important? Our school district receives approximately $1.8 million each year from this program. These funds are essential in providing the best educational experience for your children.
How to Participate:
Check your email for the digital survey link, it will be in your mailbox on 10/07/2026
Complete and submit by November 13th, 2026
Alternatively, paper copies can be picked up from the front office or sent home with your student.
Your timely participation is vital for the ongoing support of our educational programs. Let's continue to work together to make our school district great.
