Mountain Family W.A.G.
9/28-10/2/26
Message from Jen Schmierer
Dear Mountain Families,
I want to share a personal update with our Mountain community. I have been asked by the district to transition to another school in the district, where I will have the opportunity to support students, staff, and families in a new capacity. While this is not a change I anticipated, I am grateful for the confidence the district has placed in me and for the opportunity to bring my experience and skills to another school community.
Leaving Mountain is bittersweet. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated teachers and staff, Ms. Lee, and most importantly, to be part of the lives of our students. Every day, our students remind us why the work we do matters. I am incredibly proud of their growth, their resilience, their curiosity, and the many ways they continue to learn and grow.
I am also deeply appreciative of our staff. Their commitment to students, their willingness to support one another, and the care they bring to their work each day have meant so much to me. I have learned from them and will carry those lessons with me.
I know that change can bring many emotions and questions. Please know that my time here has been meaningful, and I will always be grateful for the relationships and memories I have made with this school community.
Thank you for welcoming me, trusting me, and allowing me to be part of your children's Mountain Elementary school experience for the past 14 years. It has truly been an honor.
With sincere appreciation,
Jen Schmierer
