An Incredible Learning Experience in College Station, Texas
On this day, students will:
- Attend a Physics Show with the famous Professor Tatiana at Hawking Auditorium (A&M).
- Dr. Tatiana Erukhimova is a professor of physics at Texas A&M University who became a viral internet sensation through high-energy science demonstrations and accessible physics outreach programs. Her engaging experiments utilizing liquid nitrogen, dry ice, and everyday items have amassed over a billion views across social media channels.
- Tour the Wave Basin Pool at the Texas A&M Offshore Technology Research Center (OTRC).
The OTRC’s mission is to provide technology, expertise, and services needed for the development of drilling, production, and transportation systems that enable the safe and economically viable exploitation of hydrocarbon resources in deep and ultra-deep water.
The OTRC develops technology through a balanced program of basic and applied research projects that is focused in the following core technical areas:
- characterization of the ocean environment
- characterization of the seafloor environment
- environmental forces on structures and foundation systems,
- structural responses and integrity, and
- advanced composite materials
- Tour the A&M RELLIS Innovation and Tech Campus.
- Texas A&M – RELLIS provides state-of-the-art facilities and unrivaled research and testing support to TAMUS agencies, universities, and industry partners. Their mission is to accelerate innovation in education, workforce development, training, and research. With its blend of airspace, range infrastructure, instrumentation, and collaborative opportunities, RELLIS empowers partners to push the boundaries of UAS technology, test next-generation systems, and explore high-value applications—while retaining the flexibility to adapt to new missions and emerging requirements.

QVMS Career Day, December 10th
Volunteer, Pass the Word to a Possible Presenter, or Both!
The Annual QVMS Career Day is for eighth grade students, and this year it's on Thursday, December 10th. This is a special day for 8th grade students. Please consider supporting our QVMS Career Day.
There are a few ways for you, as parents, to participate:
1. Join our classroom team of professionals and inspire students through a 15-minute presentation about your career that you will deliver to six rotating groups throughout the day. These sessions will occur from 9am to 1:30pm.
2. You and/or your company could set up a display table in our gymnasium at our Career Day Expo to showcase your business or educational opportunity from 9am-1:30pm.
3. You could tell someone you know who might be willing to share about his/her career or his/her company.
The Career Day Committee and Hospitality Team will take good care of you this day, and we truly hope you'll consider supporting our annual career day. You will find all the details you need in the letter attached below. Thank you!
