We're SO Proud of Colin!
Colin Stokes travelled to California and competed at the International Forum for Research Excellence with his Agriscience project. Mrs. Wyrick accompanied him on the trip and had the opportunity to attend several workshops with internationally renowned presenters. What a great opportunity!
Principal's Corner
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a wonderful November so far. As we get ready for Thanksgiving next week, I hope you are able to take some time to relax, eat food, and spend time with family. Just a reminder that we will be out of school for Thanksgiving break from Wednesday, November 22 through Friday, November 24. Students will return to school on Monday, November 27.
First semester is quickly coming to an end. I highly encourage all parents/guardians to check student grades in Infinite Campus (or Launch if a student has a Launch math class) to see what your student’s current grade is. If you have any questions or concerns about grades, please reach out to your student’s teacher.
On Tuesday, November 28 all 8th grade students will be attending Eldon Career Center for a tour and to receive information about the programs that are offered there for our high school students. Students will be receiving a field trip form that must be signed and turned in no later than Monday, November 27.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. My door is always open and I am always willing to help however I can. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Kyla Kirtley
Principal

What's Happening in Ms. Evers's 5th Grade Class?
5th grade has been learning about living things and where our bodies get the energy they need for our cells to work correctly. To demonstrate this we talked about calories and fat and lit pecans on fire to see how long they would burn due to the fat they had on them!
