JA Vocal Music Department News
The bi-monthly newsletter of the Jonathan Alder Vocal Music
October 17th, 2024
JA friends & family,
Thank you for subscribing to the JA Vocal Music newsletter. Below, you will find information in regard to events, upcoming reminders, fundraisers, and updates about the musical. I try to include all content 7-12, as there are many parents who have students in both programs. I also think it is a great opportunity to see what opportunities students may have as they go through the program into the later years of high school.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns by emailing me at mayesni@japioneers.org
The Choir newsletter will come out typically bi-monthly, with the exception of when our musical and Acapella season really heat up in February/March.

JAM Fest Fundraiser
For our annual Jonathan Alder Music Festival, we are specifically raising money for new mics and lights for the auditeria. One of the most important things in music is "making our kiddos be heard" so you can imagine how essential it is to have mics and lights that support their beautiful music.
"You may ask... HOW CAN I HELP?"
Well, this year we are asking our community and local businesses to donate silent auction baskets for the event. At the event (and online) we will have our silent auction, where we can use these donations to bolster the program. You could also be a patron for the vocal music department (this includes the musical as well). Any sort of donation or help goes towards giving our students the best possible environment to perform successfully. The event this year is November 2nd and we would need all items before November 1st. Please drop off all donations at the High School or shoot me an email and I can arrange for it to be picked up from your respective school.
I have attached the flier for basket donations. All patron donations can be found at the following link: https://forms.gle/x3jU92EqJsKucJvr9
P.S. All donations can be written off from your taxes due to the Music Boosters being a Non-Profit...

About the JA Vocal Music Program
It is our mission to provide experiences that create that "spark" in students to become life long lovers and students of music. We want the students to not only learn the material but to be able to apply and think on their own. In addition, we pride ourselves on being able to be serious and sound "good" while still having a "good" time!
