Crossroads Need to Know
Arrival
- Arrival after 8:35 AM requires an adult to walk the student into the main office to check them in as tardy.
- Car Riders: Parents, please remain inside your vehicle during morning drop-off. Staying in your car helps our line move quickly and smoothly, and—most importantly—keeps our students and families safe.
Dismissal
- Early student pick-up ends promptly at 3:15 PM. After 3:15 PM, our staff is fully focused on dismissal procedures to ensure all students reach their proper transportation safely.
- Car Riders: Parents, please remain inside your vehicle during afternoon pick-up. Staying in your car helps our line move quickly and smoothly, and—most importantly—keeps our students and families safe.
Lunch
We love having families join us for lunch! To keep our family eating area safe and organized for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Food for Your Student Only: You are welcome to bring outside food for your child, but food may not be shared with other students.
- Bring a Friend: Your student is welcome to invite one friend to sit with you.
- Designated Seating: All guests and students must remain in the designated family dining area throughout lunch.
Meet the Teacher Night
There is nothing quite like the energy of a brand-new school year! We appreciate how much our students and families look forward to back-to-school traditions like meet-the-teacher night. These opportunities to connect are vital for starting the year on the right foot. Not only do they serve as a welcoming introduction to teachers and staff, but they also give families a chance to explore the new classroom, locate student desks, and catch up with old friends while making new ones.
Meet-the-Teacher Night will take place on Wednesday, August 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. This event is for all kindergarten through fifth grade students and their families. This is a time for you and your child to meet the teacher, drop off school supplies, and get familiar with the classroom.
Please note: This is not a time for individual conferences or detailed discussions about your child. If you’d like to share specific information or speak with your child’s teacher, we encourage you to reach out via email to schedule a time to connect.

Message from the PTA
Welcome Back, Corgis!
The Crossroads Elementary PTA is excited to kick off another amazing school year! We look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to create fun events, support our teachers, and make CRE the best place to learn and grow.
Join the PTA
One of the best ways to support our school is by becoming a PTA member! Membership is just $10 and is open to parents, grandparents, family members, teachers, and community supporters.
Joining the PTA carries no volunteer obligation, but we hope you'll attend meetings, share your ideas, and help make a difference.
Our first General PTA Meeting is Tuesday, September 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the CRE Library. We'd love to see you there!
Volunteer With Us
Our PTA hosts fun, family-friendly events throughout the year, and we couldn't do it without volunteers. Whether you can help for an hour or all year long, every contribution makes a difference!
Corgi Store

Orders placed online by Friday, August 14 can be picked up at Meet the Teacher Night.

Here's to a fantastic school year full of learning, laughter, and lots of Corgi spirit. Let's make it the best year yet!
Arrival and Dismissal - Please Read Carefully
All car riders and daycare van riders will go to the gym at the end of the day. Once in the gym, a staff member will call students’ names over the radio for them to come out to meet their vehicle. A staff member will escort students to each car.
Important: Parents are no longer allowed to walk up to pick up their children. Please use the car pick-up line. Bright pink car tags will be distributed at Meet-the-Teacher Night. If you are unable to attend, tags will be sent home with students on the first day of school. Please check with the office if you need a car tag. USE A THICK MARKER TO FILL THESE OUT.
When driving through the car lanes, please display the bright pink car tag on your dashboard where names can be easily seen. If you do not have a car tag, staff will need to check your ID, contact the office for clearance, and then call your child. This process slows down pick-up for everyone.
A few additional reminders:
-
Dismissal changes will not be accepted after 3 p.m.
-
Student safety is our top priority. Because 3:20 p.m. is a busy time, we cannot allow office checkouts after 3:20 p.m. Please plan accordingly.
-
If your child is a walker but will become a car rider due to inclement weather, you are responsible for notifying the school. We no longer send text messages about rainy-day dismissals.
All parents are expected to have the bright pink car tags ready by August 26.
Please review the arrival and dismissal maps below:
