Student Council will be having a fundraiser selling popcorn with M&Ms to middle school students this Thursday, April 23rd. Cost will be $2 per bag.

Grab and Go Snacks
Thank you to our generous donors for providing a snack for our students before testing. Your thoughtful support helps keep our students fueled, focused and ready to do their best! Our students were appreciative and looked forward to the snacks.

Night of the Arts
Friday, April 10th was a celebration of the incredible talents of our students. It was truly "An Enchanting Evening" at Legacy Academy. Thank you to our parent volunteers and staff for making this event a success.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to volunteer yet, it is never too late. April and May are busy with several events at Legacy. Your generosity of time and donations truly strengthen our school. We have many families that have volunteered or made donations that have not logged their hours. Please take a few minutes to log your hours. Our PTCO always needs help with our many social events - watch the newsletter for monthly meeting times.
Field Day for K-5th will be April 23rd rain or shine. We still need a few volunteers to make this event happen. Please see the sign up below.
Kindergarten and 1st will participate in field day from 8-10:30pm. Their lunch will be a normal lunch (hot or cold lunch in the cafeteria). 2nd-5th will participate in field day from 10:45am-2:50pm and these students must bring a sack lunch.
To help us maintain a smooth flow of activities, we will ask parents that are watching the events to bring a lawn chair and remain in the designated spectator areas (perimeter) and refrain from entering the field (games) area. This area will only be accessible to our volunteers that have completed their background checks and attended the informational parent volunteer meeting.
If you wish to have lunch with your child (in the secure area) you must check in with the office and have a current background check completed. If you wish to leave with your child you must first check them out at the front desk.
Field Day Checklist:
- Comfortable clothes and tennis shoes (no crocs)
- Apply sunscreen before school
- 2nd-5th will need a sack lunch.
- Snacks
- Water
- Hat and sunglasses
- Hoodie
Volunteers will be asked to work the duration of the event. They will meet in the gym at 7:15am for a quick meeting then head to set up the field at 7:30am. At the end of Field day, volunteers will be asked to please help return items to the gym at 3pm. This should only take 10-15 minutes.
If Field Day is held in the gym due to inclement weather, we ask that parents stay in the bleachers and not access the games/court unless you are a volunteer. Thank you for respecting a safe, fun, and orderly event.
Our last R.O.A.R. Store will be May 11th (we will not have one in April). Legacy Academy focuses on the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of our students. Character education in schools can have an impact on a student’s social skills, work ethic, and general wellbeing. While our students' moral and ethical compass begin at home, Legacy believes character education is beneficial for improved academics through positive classroom behavior. Elementary students earn R.O.A.R. tickets and middle school earn T.W.I.X. tickets. If you would like to help out at the store, please sign up below.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4th-8th and we want to make it extra special for our incredible educators who go above and beyond every day all year for our children. We are providing snacks and meals during throughout the week. If you would like to help, please click the links below:
