Superintendent's Corner

We have hit the holiday season! We ate our turkey and all the fixings, rooted for the Cowboys to LOSE BADLY even though it did not happen (it's a Thanksgiving tradition for the Vancheri Family), decorated for the holidays (my tree goes up after the last piece of Halloween candy is given out), and have probably worn out our credit cards shopping! The holidays fly by so cherish every moment and be thankful for each day! I remain very thankful for all of you!

• December 8: NRESC Board of Directors Meeting (12pm).
  
• December 22: Early Dismissal for Staff & Students at Hope and Phoenix. Ascend classes will be VIRTUAL.
• December 22: Second Home will be CLOSED FOR PARTICIPANTS but OPEN FOR STAFF (Early Dismissal), in preparation for our move to Totowa in January.
• December 23-January 2: NRESC central office, schools, and programs are CLOSED (Holiday Recess), with a return on Wednesday, January 3.

ERC Charities is a group that supports Second Home several times a year. Second Home participants are recipients of funds from their spring golf outing and also their winter benefit gala. Each year one of our clients receives this scholarship (which is named after one of our clients as well). This year the scholarship is being given to Rochelle Ranshaw of Second Home. This scholarship will be used for Rochelle's therapies and/or any new equipment she requires.

If you are interested in attending, please email Dr. Brad Haimowitz at bhaimowitz@nresc.org, as the Commission already has nearly two full tables of staff attending this wonderful event.
