A Message from the Office of the Superintendent
The end of the school year is here, and it has been a great school year! The end of the school year is always an extremely busy time and we have so much to celebrate from the 24-25 school year. Our students have accomplished so much this school year -- in the classroom, on the athletic fields and courts, through activities and programs, and in our community. The district is so excited about our newest buildings being completed around the district and the upcoming summer projects as well. Summer is a busy time at Marshfield R-I. Please make sure that you are aware of the summer school opportunities that we provide for K-12 students. While summer is just around the corner, we still have several weeks of school left and I want to encourage everyone to finish STRONG. Attendance continues to be critical to the success of our students and our school district. Please make sure that our students are in school whenever possible. As the school year closes, please take this opportunity to settle up any lunch balances your student may have. I want to thank each of you for helping make our school district great. Let's finish this school year strong and continue to be proud members of Blue Jay Nation!
Proud to Be a Blue Jay,
Mike Henry

Teacher Appreciation Week is a great time to say
How much our educators matter—every day.
They show up daily, lead with care—
With grit and grace, they're always there.
They balance more than grades and plans,
They build up lives with open hands.
The work they do runs deep and wide—
They do it all with Blue Jay pride.
They see the future where others hear noise,
And help shape leaders from girls and boys.
They teach with heart, they lead with grace,
And make our school and town a better place.
They lift, they guide, they stand so steady—
For every need, they're always ready.
They teach with purpose, lead with peace—
Their work’s an Mjays Masterpiece!

Our littlest Blue Jays had a rootin’-tootin’ good time at Farm Day!
-----------------------------------
Hubble Elementary
Hubble is thrilled to spotlight the incredible work of our students, who have been diving deep into the natural world to uncover the fascinating connections between animals and innovation! Students then investigated how many of these animal adaptations—and other elements of nature—have inspired human inventions. They discovered how engineers have mimicked gecko feet to create climbing robots, how the structure of shark skin influenced swimsuit design, and how the shape of a kingfisher’s beak helped redesign high-speed trains. Through this hands-on, inquiry-based learning experience, students not only expanded their scientific knowledge but also saw the power of observation, creativity, and problem-solving in action. Nature truly is the world’s greatest inventor—and our students are well on their way to becoming inventors themselves!
-----------------------------------
Webster Elementary
Webster third graders had an incredible opportunity to bring history to life at the Famous Missourian Living History Museum during the Cherry Blossom Festival. After dedicating a lot of time during the third quarter to reading, researching, and learning about several notable figures from Missouri, students engaged in an exciting hands-on experience by conversing with community members playing these influential Missourians. This immersive event not only solidified their knowledge but also sparked a deeper interest in the rich history of our state. It was a delightful way for our students to connect with the legacies of nine significant individuals who have shaped Missouri’s heritage.

Shook Elementary
Shook Elementary celebrated another outstanding class of DARE graduates! We’re so proud of our students for their commitment to making safe and responsible choices.
-----------------------------------
Jr. High School
Our 8th grade students took learning beyond the classroom last week with a local government field trip. They visited the Webster County Justice Center to learn about law enforcement and toured the facility, even speaking with guards and deputies. At the Webster County Courthouse, they met Judge Evans and explored how civil cases, voter registration, and local services work. Their final stop was the Marshfield City Hall Annex, where Mayor McNish and City Administrator Sam Rost helped lead a mock city council meeting!

High School
What an unforgettable day at the Special Olympics track meet! Marshfield High School Student Council proudly partnered with Special Olympics of Missouri to host this inspiring event.
Our 14 incredible Marshfield athletes brought home a bundle of medals, with Student Council buddies cheering them on every step of the way—even joining in for a unified 4x100 relay!
A heartfelt thank-you to Kevin Runyan of Custom Creations for donating team jackets—our athletes wore them with pride!
We’re so grateful to the track coaches, district staff, volunteers, and our amazing choir, who kicked things off with a beautiful National Anthem. This day wouldn’t have been possible without you!
April Teacher Proud Tuesday Recipients
At Marshfield R-I Schools, we are deeply thankful for all of our exceptional educators who inspire and shape the future of our students every single day.
Mrs. Gastineau (Hubble): She has gone above and beyond for our new kindergartener. She’s made him feel comfortable and truly welcome in her classroom. He looks forward to going to school every day, and we feel so fortunate to have her as our son’s teacher!
Bailee Welsh (Webster): She has been incredibly supportive of our son. He feels comfortable in her classroom and looks forward to going to school every day.
Lacey Steimel (Shook): She treats each student fairly and sets clear expectations in her classroom, creating a very positive learning environment. She has made our daughter’s transition into fourth grade so smooth and ensures that students are engaged and truly understanding the lessons. We are very thankful to have a teacher like Mrs. Steimel!
Bethany Loe drives Bus Route #8. This route serves students living in the Beacon Hill area, along Highway J, Fellowship Road, Old Mill Road, and Bellflower Lane, as well as a portion of Highway 38 just west of Marshfield.
