MS Principal Memo
March 20, 2024
Dear Middle School Students and Parents,
I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to remind you that spring break is just around the corner, with only six more days left before we can all enjoy some time off. While it's important to use this time to relax and unwind, it's also a good opportunity to catch up on any school work that you may have missed. Please make sure to bring your parents to conferences next week, where you can discuss with your teacher any work that needs to be completed.
I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone for their cooperation in respecting our school's cell phone policy. This week, there were only a few instances where phones were collected by teachers and sent to the office for parent pickup. Let's continue to work together to ensure that our school remains a safe and productive environment for everyone.
There are three Charger Spirit Challenges listed in this memo. Be the first to share the correct answer to win a prize!
Warm regards,
Mr. Joachim
Tardy Policy
Springdale Middle School believes all students should be on time for school and each class period throughout the school day.
In the event that a student is late to class, he or she is expected to go directly to class. Tardy information will be tracked by the Solutions Room which will document the students’ consequences on the tardy policy’s progressive discipline plan.
If a student is late to school, and escorted into the office by a parent or guardian, the student will still receive a tardy, but will not receive consequences as part of the tardy policy’s progressive discipline plan. In addition, students with a note from a doctor’s office will still be marked tardy, but will not receive consequences as part of the tardy’s progressive discipline plan. As always, any student that is over 15 minutes late to class will be considered absent. The absence may be excused with a doctor’s note or a signed note from a parent or guardian.
