New Option at Lunch
We have a new item on the November lunch menu entitled “Nut-Butter Fuel Pack”.
The fuel pack includes sunbutter, veggies to dip, goldfish and apple slices. There maybe slight variations to the veggie and fruit offerings within the pack.
I am adding a picture below. This entrée comes with choice of milk.
Pierce Craft Fair Returns
Hello!
It’s that time of year again! We are getting ready for our annual Pierce PTO Craft Fair, and we would LOVE to have you!
Our craft fair is always such a fun day of gathering our community, shopping local, and getting a jump start on holiday shopping. And, of course, our raffle is always a HUGE hit! All the raffle and table proceeds go right back to our students, helping support field trips, activities, and other things our school needs throughout the year.
Vendor spaces are $25 per space + one donated item for our PTO raffle. Bring your own table (up to 8 ft.), and vendors may begin setting up at 9:00 AM Saturday morning.
To reserve your space, just send us an email!
Hope to see you there!

They Are Back...
Have a Question? Want some tips and tricks to support your child?
Adventure Reading Back Packs are going home today for Grades K and ! - Please know that you can keep the bags for 2 - 3 weeks. If you need more time, just let us know. If you get them done earlier- great! When your child returns the bag another student can get a turn with that bag. Thanks.
Happy Reading and Crafting !!
FYI - Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up in less than two weeks. Did you know that one of my Title l offerings is to help families understand the academic testing reports that we send home throughout the year? If you have questions about your child's reports please pop into the Title l classroom when you come for your conference and I will be happy to help you understand the reports. I am also available to coach families so that they can work at home with their children. If you would prefer, please reach out to me through my school email at apope@conval.edu and schedule yourself a time to meet and discuss what you can do at home to help support your child's learning at school.
Thanks for all of Your Support and Work at Home with your children. Mrs. Pope
Exploring Our World
A Spooktacular Week
Kindergarten had a spooktacular week! We had so much fun with our Halloween-themed word work while continuing to work hard and build our skills. We also showed off our amazing leaps and jumps during our NHDI program! To top it all off, we had a wonderful week making music and memories with Mrs. Nielssen.
Powerful Learning with Mrs. Powell
Story Problems and Healthy Eating
In first grade this week we started looking more at story problems in math and how to pull out the numbers and even find the missing one! In ELA we finished our phonics review unit and will start Unit 2 next week! We continued the human body unit and started learning about germs and how they have evolved and how eating healthy and exercising can help us fight off the bad germs. We had alot of fun for Halloween and got to decorate some small pumpkins that Mrs. B gave us! We got to try and disguise a ghost and write down clues to try and guess who made it. It has been a busy, exciting week!

Sparking Second Graders
The Sparkling Second graders continue to dive into the contributions of Ancient Greece and have started their first formal opinion writing piece of the year!
A special thank you to Mrs. B. for donating a basket of mini pumpkins to our classroom. We turned them into a hands-on learning adventure across math, science, and art—counting, grouping by tens, testing floating ability, and painting personalized pumpkins. They even shared extra pumpkins with the younger grades. Ask your child tonight: Does a pumpkin float?
A Word From Mrs. G
Story Tellers in Grades 3 & 4
In 3rd grade math students are working hard to find the area of shapes. They are using their skip counting skills to determine how many tiles it takes to cover a given area. They have even started to apply this to "l" shapes. A real challenge!
In 4th grade math students are working to find equivalent fractions. They are multiplying and dividing fractions to compare them. Knowing your math facts is really important. We will begin to find common denominators next.
4th graders have also submitted their scary stories for the contest in the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript's Scary Story Contest! We can't wait to hear the results!
Week three of Sewing Club was a blast!
Have a nice weekend!
Checking in with Mr. LeGraw
This week in PE, students continued to work on their throwing skills. They have gotten much better using the proper throwing mechanics, and have started to throw with more accuracy and power. Everyone continued to work hard this week and have been improving their fitness all year! We ended the week with some fun Halloween games!
