SBA Testing Continues This Week!

We’re proud of how hard our students have been working as they continue the SBA (Smarter Balanced Assessment) this week. To help them succeed, we encourage families to make sure students are well-rested, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time, ready to focus.

Parents—your support matters! A few words of encouragement can go a long way. Please remind your child to try their best and let them know how proud you are of their efforts.

Thank you for partnering with us to help every student do their best!

PTA Update

Golden Acorn Award:

Attention all DEE Families, we’re currently seeking Golden Acorn Award nominations and need your help!

What is the Golden Acorn Award?
The Golden Acorn Award is a special Washington State PTA honor that recognizes a current PTA member from each school who goes above and beyond in their volunteer service to children and their school community.

It’s a meaningful way to recognize and thank someone for their outstanding volunteerism, dedication, and impact on our PTA.

Know a PTA member that shines? Nominate them today by visiting: linktr.ee/donaldeismannpta

Teacher Appreciation Week:

We Did It! Teacher Appreciation Week Was All That!

From scrunchies to snacks, from photo booths to lemonade sippin’—our Totally 90s Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week was a slammin’ success! Every day was filled with surprises, good vibes, and serious staff appreciation.

Huge thanks to our incredible PTA Hospitality team for coordinating such a memorable week, and to all of YOU who donated, helped out, or spoiled your own teachers with extra love. Whether you brought snacks, sent in supplies, or showed up with big energy, you helped make this week unforgettable.

Art Walk:

What a night! Our Art Walk last Friday was nothing short of magical — from the epic Glow Room to the student galleries, interactive art zones, selfie stations, and the incredible silent auction displays. The school was glowing with talent, pride, and creativity!

It was such a joy to watch our student artists shine and share their work with their families. Thanks to our amazing community, we surpassed our fundraising goal and raised over $5,000 to continue supporting the PTA funded Art Docent Program!

Huge thanks to PTA’s lead art docent chairs (Amy Lay +Sara Kneupper) for their Art Walk coordination, vision, and dedication to the program! And to the many volunteers who helped bring this multi-layered event to life! We can’t forget to thank our generous donors for making the silent auction such a success.

Silent auction winners: We have sent emails to all auction winners about coordinating the pick-up of baskets, art, and gift certificates. If you believe you won an item but have not received an email, please email Kyle at secretary@donaldeismannpta.org

Thank you for showing up, celebrating the arts, and supporting creativity in our school! Can’t wait for next year!
