Mr. Soto
Welcome Back, Park Street Families!
I hope you all had a wonderful, restful Spring Break and enjoyed some quality time with family and friends. It is wonderful to see our hallways filled with energy and smiles once again!
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, our focus is on finishing strong. These last few weeks are critical for academic growth, and we want every student to reach their full potential. To make that happen, we need your help with two vital habits:
Attendance Matters: Every day of instruction counts. Consistent attendance ensures your child doesn’t miss out on key concepts and end-of-year activities.
Promptness is Key: School begins each morning promptly at 8:00 AM. Arriving on time allows students to settle in and start their day with confidence rather than rushing.
This week, we celebrate and acknowledge Exceptional Children’s Week.
- We celebrate our "Exceptional Children"—the students who bring unique perspectives and extraordinary talents to our halls.
- This week reminds us of our commitment to inclusive education, ensuring every child has the tools to succeed and feel truly valued.
Additionally, we are proud to celebrate National Assistant Principal Week.
- Our Amazing Assistant Principals, Dr. Madden, Mr. Johnson, and Ms. Kelly, are the heart of our daily operations, working tirelessly to ensure a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for every student. We are incredibly grateful for their dedicated leadership and vision.
🚗 A Friendly Traffic Reminder
To keep our students safe and traffic moving efficiently, please remember to always use the designated carpool lane for drop-offs and pick-ups. Avoid side streets or the parking lot. This helps us maintain a secure environment for everyone. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

School Governance (SGT)
Are you interested in serving on Park Street's School Governance Team?
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta believes parent and community support is critical to the success of students and schools. The establishment of School Governance Teams (SGT), pursuant to the Marietta City Schools Charter System petition, is intended to help local boards of education develop and nurture participation, bring parents and the community together with teachers and school administrators to create a better understanding of and mutual respect for each other's concerns, and share ideas for school improvement.
Marietta City Charter System schools use the local school council as the framework of an expanded governance Board referred to as the School Governance Team (SGT). The SGT is entrusted with the responsibility of providing input, making recommendations, and rendering decisions regarding various aspects of the instructional program of the school and the school’s operational scheme. SGTs replace existing School Councils at all schools.

Keeping illness out of the school is one of the best defenses for all types of sickness. If your son or daughter is ill, please keep them home. This allows your child to recover and prevent others from becoming sick.
If your child stays home for more than 48 hours due to an illness, don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's teacher and or Nurse Nicole. Our school nurse is here for guidance and support.
