A Message from Mr. Schmidt, LHS Principal

Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Legacy High School!

I hope your summer was filled with rest, joy, and meaningful moments with family and friends. As we gear up for the 2026–2027 school year, I’m filled with excitement and optimism about the opportunities that lie ahead for our students and our school community.

Whether you're a returning student or a new face joining us for the first time, know that you are an important part of what makes our school special. At LHS, we are committed to academic excellence, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and supporting every student in reaching their fullest potential.

This year, we’ll continue to build on our traditions while embracing new opportunities for growth, collaboration, and innovation. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare engaging lessons, meaningful activities, and a supportive learning environment that challenges and inspires.

I look forward to seeing the hallways full of energy and enthusiasm once again. Let’s make this year one of our best yet - full of learning, achievement, and school spirit.

Together, we’re going to make this a fantastic year. Go Sabers!

Schedule Corrections August 11th

Student schedules are available to view in Infinite Campus. Since the registration process was completed in February, class correction requests are discouraged. In most cases due to staffing, changes are not possible. Staffing was determined based on original registration numbers. Schedule adjustments will not be made to accommodate requests for teachers, lunch times, or free mods. Schedule corrections will not be made after the assigned schedule change date, except for situations caused by computer input error, an elective needed for the ND State Scholarship, missing a core class, or a lack of the appropriate prerequisites.

The only schedule correction date is August 11. Please complete the Schedule Correction Request Form prior to coming in.

  • Seniors & Juniors, 8-11:30 am
  • Sophomores & Freshmen, 12-3:30 pm

In a few situations, there are some overlapping classes. Your student will need to discuss and work out an arrangement with both the overlapping teachers when the semester begins.

If you need help getting into the Infinite Campus Portal please see the section below.

LHS Secretaries - We are here to help!

The Legacy secretaries are excited to greet both familiar and new faces as we begin another wonderful school year!

The front office is your stop for attendance, lockers, information, support, scheduling meetings with an administrator, seeing the school resource officer, a helping hand, or seeing the nurse - we’re here to assist you with anything from attendance and student check-ins and outs to general information about school events and procedures.

The side office secretaries take all payments; such as parking permits (and parking forms), meal account money, activities payments, activity passes, fees, and signing up and paying for school dances.

The student services secretary works as a secretary to the counselors; transferring students in and out of LHS, grades and report cards, transcripts, student schedules, and students in need of supplies.

Here are a few helpful reminders as we begin the new school year:

  • Office Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • Main Office Phone: 701-323-4850
  • Absence Reporting: Please call 701-323-4856 prior to your students' absence to report it. Parents do not need to come inside to sign students in or out, but students must sign in and out on the computer in the office if arriving late or leaving early. Calls and doctor notes are accepted up to two weeks from the date of the absence.

BPS is unable to email confidential student information (such as report cards and student schedules). Accessing your Infinite Campus portal will be the place to check student schedules, attendance, and update student information.

We understand the beginning of the year can feel a bit overwhelming—please don’t hesitate to call, email, or stop by if you have any questions or need support. We’re here to make things easier for you and your student!
