After submitting UC application
After submitting the UC application
After submission, applicants can log in to their UC application to pay any remaining fees due, to view and print a PDF of their application and to make updates to limited information such as their personal details. All personal information updates such as name, email or mailing address should be made online in their UC application.
Beyond personal information, applicants should be advised that very little information can be updated in the UC application after submission. Applicants are unable to update information included in the “Activities and awards” section or their Personal Insight Question responses. Minor changes to activities, awards, volunteer work or employment are unlikely to have an impact on the admission decision.
Students who wish to report academic changes, change their intended major or withdraw their UC application from campus consideration prior to receiving an admission decision should follow these instructions. Applicants will receive access and further instructions regarding campus applicant portals in December. Some of the linked forms may not be available until that time.
Reporting academic changes
First-year applicants
If there are changes to the students' academic record after they submit their application, such as changing schools, adding/dropping courses or earning a grade lower than a C, they might need to notify the campuses to which they’ve applied. Keep in mind, UC cannot guarantee that a campus can go back to review an application after correspondence has been received. View campus instructions and websites for reporting changes.
Transfer applicants
Academic updates will be submitted in the Transfer Academic Update (TAU).
Upon receiving an offer of admission, students should review their conditions of admission for details on informing their campus of any deficient grades or schedule changes.
Requesting a change of major
Each campus has specific instructions if an applicant wishes to change their intended major after submitting a UC application, prior to receiving an admission decision. See campus instructions for major change requests.
Canceling/withdrawing a UC application
Each campus has specific instructions for their individual process if an applicant wishes to cancel or withdraw their application from further consideration. This only applies to students canceling or withdrawing prior to admission decision release. See campus instructions for canceling/withdrawing a UC application.

Resources for military-connected students
Did you know that our Veteran Resources Centers report providing services to over 5,000 military-affiliated students attending UC? After celebrating current and former military service members this past Veteran's Day, explore UC resources for military-connected students.
UC School Certifying Officials and Veteran Program Coordinators — All UC campuses have staff who serve as a point of contact for all military-connected education benefits and resources. They are responsible for advising and assisting students who are eligible for educational benefits because of their own military service or that of a family member.
GI Bill Programs — There are an array of education programs from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) that are available to military-connected students attending UC. These programs can help pay for tuition, fees and/or other education-related costs. To determine eligibility, students should reach out to the VA through va.gov or call the GI Bill Hotline.
CalVet Tuition Fee Waiver — This program, available to eligible California residents who are dependents of veterans, waives mandatory systemwide tuition and fees at UC. Students should contact their County Veteran Service Office to apply. To determine eligibility, students should reach out to the VA through va.gov, the GI Bill Hotline or your County Veteran Service Office located throughout the state.
For more information about how to start using benefits on each campus, how the benefits work with financial aid or any other resources available to military-connected students throughout the UC system, please visit the specific campus military-connected websites.

The Spanish workshop series will be offered in a Hybrid format – In-Person at Valley (with childcare provided) and via Zoom for Spanish speaking families in case they prefer to attend via Zoom.
